Unsolved Problem;

Problem with width of my blog page with Chrome; Decided to ignore:-)
Maybe because of the different browser of new pc of 8.1 from 7, my page in Chrome's default got really shrunk.  For 7, I don't have this problem. Just wished to let you know(^^;); sorry for early posting.

*My blog page from Explorer  (Yahoo)*   Default 100%

*My blog page from Chrome  Default 100%
 Needed to change default to 150, and arrow shows extended function of "ZOOM" from Chrome.  It only changes size of inside the background.
And buttons on the sidebar are shaking a bit, probably too much enlarging p:)

Haha, just rumbling post. Have a wonderful weekend;

Do you have the same trouble?

          I've been having nagging trouble with my dashboard.
When I made my links in my side bar, somehow my blog list from the layout started not functioning. So I depend on my dashboard to see my friend's new posts.
About 8 times out of 10 (^^;), I get this 'haven't followed any blog' notice.   I'd be much appreciated if any of you have the solution for this trouble. And I wonder if you happen to have the same trouble or not;  So sorry for the Japanese version.

Thank you very much for reading kind of my grumbling post, Sincerely friends;
I'll leave my header the same one, as I'm linking the former post;

Music Soft♪

I was amazed with the soft (score maker) my husband got close to last year end. He learned about it from the piano teacher who is also a member of the band he is involved. He wished to hear the sound of his part (alto sax) he has to play for the band. He still needs to fiddle with it more to master how it works.  Wow, it is fun for me to see the score he put these things ( ♯♭) makes music.  I have no knowledge about music, all geek to me p;)
Not the same thing or level, but that reminds me of the first scene of the movie "Holiday", which amazed me seeing PC is used for composing many years ago.

As he is out for fishing now, I had time to post this.
See you when I find the next topic;

Header Transparent Problem Solved♪

I'd been checking the Google+ forum page and one advice had worked.  In the setting page of the Google+, I needed to go to the picture section. And then removed the check-mark in the "automatic enhance" box.  Whew... I was lucky to find that particular forum page. I'm posting this just in case this would help my friends or anyone out there in trouble.  I wasn't the only one p;)

I may not post for several days. And I haven't visited you as much as I wish for this struggle(^^;)   But I will start popping over you from this evening, my friends.

problem for changing header...

Oh My!!!   I have another problem...
Does any of you have extra headers which have transparent parts?  After late lunch; before visiting my friends' posts, I was trying to make a draft for next post. As my routine process, I tried to check how my header look with the main post by using the test-blog. As you can see from the screen shot below, I found transparent part got black. I realized it when I first opened my choice in the header box of the layout. My guess is the file may not be broken because it has no problem putting the same one in the main post. I just WISH this blogger problem will be a temporary phenomenon and back to normal soon ; what is more, my headers won't be wasted.

In the morning, I worked hard outside in our tiny garden helping my husband tidying up what he did and weeding. Oh, this problem really let me down (*_*)゚゚
So sorry posting this before popping over you; and wishing to bounce back from this emotional shock p;)  Also I'm not expecting comments much today; I'd SO appreciate the advice if any of you had by any chance...

Browser...

Hello everyone; I hope you are enjoying your new season. I have been SO busy for several personal things...  (haha, skip rambling about personal matter)
The day before yesterday, I found that many of my 'about me pages' have trouble for transparent setting of the "picture window" template (not Ethereal). For my blog, I'd been using "Google Chrome" not "Internet Explorer".  I happened to open one of them through I.E and found the color trouble like the screen shot below. (Upper one form G.C and lower one from I.E.)  I'm not sure if the cause of the trouble is due to the 'Browser' or 'html'. I couldn't find the solution. As long as I have made them, I decided to keep using them(^^;)

Silly me learned about difference between browser and search engine this time p;)
I wonder if what browser you use and had any trouble like this...

SO sorry about my absence for you, my friends.  I will catch up with you later this evening and tomorrow.  My husband is not home, hehe.

PC Class with my Dear Friend♪

Short post from last Thursday;
My friend came to my house and we had a reviewing of PC usage together.  As I needed to use flash-memory for my new PC. She also wished to know the way how to save the information from her PC into them.
She is examining my PC

She kindly bought these for me♪

*My old typewriter

Yesterday, I've noticed that I still have my old typewriter deep back on the shelf which I was using long ago for teaching English at home. I don't even remember how the floppy disk worked now.   Haha, I think it's ok to throw out that one, although I'm a bit emotionally attached to it as it was my first one of the kinds.
When I was a young teenager, I really had longing for the elegant, efficient looking beautiful secretary appeared in the TV drama from U.S like "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.".  Oh, I remember so amazed with the huge sized computer as well at that time.  A little retrospective post, too. (*^_^*)

PC Day

Yesterday, one of my friends, who recently started blogging with other Japanese blog-site, came to my house. I invited her as I wished to give her some tips for using PC. She took a city-supported computer class for a while and she said opening the blog was in the curriculum during the several months course. We have many these classes for variety of fields like calligraphy, flower arrangement, many crafts classes and so on. We sat side by side and both did our best for a one day's lesson. If only her pc could be connected with internet.

These were the small tips;  some short-cuts (for copy and paste etc). how to open tubs and windows with right click. As she had already had "picasa" downloaded at the class, some tips for how to use it more like "collage".  If I hadn't started blogger I wouldn't have known the site.
As I've already known through teaching English, helping others are not just for that person. I thought it helped me to put these things into my mind more concretely. I am not sure if this proverb is the right way of putting it but "He that gives lends".  We say "nasake wa hitono tamenarazu" Yes, your kindness sure will be rewarded to you in some way later .

After she came home, I've made several more files in my favorites.  Still have a long lists of the sites, whew.  I always wonder how my friends have learned how to use pc.  I owe T-company's support center a lot, they provide a free phone service. Haha, I was so amazed with the remote operation when I first had it. I might have been in their blacklist p;)
It certainly was a pc-day for me, I hope it won't be the cause of the nerve-wreck for us all, friends☆☆☆

web font "corsiva" in blogger & cache F5

A little information...
Recently after I started Google chrome, I've realized that web font (corsiva) I use for the post-title change into a kind of Gothic font when I open my link page of "etymology" from the home page. Nothing was wrong when I was using "Windows explore9" not Google chrome.  I've heard about "cache" and hit the F5 key. It seems the font can be updated(right word?) in the page.  Strangely enough, the new link Japanese Culture opens with the font-title (corsiva).
I would like to keep using the font, as long as it is ok when opening the home page at first; haha, sorry for my selfishness☆☆☆  I am not sure if it is a problem of chrome or not. Well, I don't know why I have to be so particular about this kind of trifle matter and so uptight about it (^^;)
I used to try to use the free web font I downloaded by pasting the font from "word". It took me a while to know that these font doesn't work for every friend unless you have them.  here is my post about it.     Haha, you never learn!!!
                  Thank you for stopping by,      Love you always, xoxo     Miyako*

Word Verification and need help if anyone knows!

I wouldn't have noticed my comment tag has word verification  unless some of my friends kindly mentioned to me.  As you can see,
it is not shown in my own comment form from my side. And also I cannot find the place or box where I can take the check off from for word verification.  Oh, God... to prevent the spam if I need, I will change to check "Registered User".  If anyone knows how to do it, would you please teach me how? I would really appreciate it.
I have noticed the new one got a bit hard to decipher when I was commenting to some of my friends. I DO wish to take it off
I don't know, but my trouble must have started when I changed to "new interface" and I needed to use Google Chrome???  And no box for remove it!  The place to put it back to the old one disappeared, whew.
My friend Fiona has the topic in her post (link←), but her good information didn't apply for my case.  Oh, I hate all these trouble for blogger cause us...

Well, today's post is asking for help (^^;)  Thank you for stopping by.  Catching up this evening.                                                        Love you always,        Miyako*

PS>  Yay!!! I could put my interface back to the old one and remove the word verification.  Mariette and Theresa had a good tip for me♪♪♪
If you had trouble with the "word verification" or going back from the new interface to the old one, please visit Theresa from "The run *A* Round Ranch Report"
My blog will be the "A Word Verification Free Blog" so that I won't cause you the eye-strain, haha.

As she says, I wish to spread the message of this.
And thank you very much Mariette for letting me know her blog. And also I wish to thank Fiona about her post. I just missed you mentioned Theresa's name.

Making Header transparent "PNG"

Hello Dear friends, I hope you all are doing well. I'd had a really busy and hectic week having soba guests several times and so on. We say "Menomawaru isogashisa" in Japanese literally means; too busy that I feel my eyes are circling". Haha, sorry for my strange translation.
Right now, I'm SO worried about my aunt's physical condition. She has been hospitalized with lung cancer and she had already had a big operation about two years ago. Not so long after her operation, she was beside me when my brother died tragically. I know she tried to help me for my late mother.

Anyway,  I wished to change my header to refresh the mood. And the trouble is my background is not white so that I needed to make it transparent. Wow, I never knew it was such a big challenge!!!  I used the header of other my link pages, which I made with great struggle last year. And arranged it with some free illustrations in word again. Haha, I got stuck there because the back of the part of the illustrations is white... NOT transparant.  I needed to know about the different types of images called "JPG, GIF, PNG".  I will fill you in about this later because I don't really have time now. My main one was put togather by professional, so it was already transparent.  I am afraid of fiddling with template; mine is Ethereal and this is the only way I know how. Too much illustrations p;)
When I showed the new header to my hubby, he asked me where the one with saxophone was p;)   I explained it is in the safe place, haha. It is funny that he always complains that I engage in too much time for blogging.

So Sorry about my FONT

I have just realized that some of my fonts I used in my previous posts doesn't work here (^_^;)     The free fonts I downloaded won't work unless you have it......
How silly of me.  Funny sizes and so on was due to my using different font.

Well, I am not expecting thoughtful friends comment,
It is 11:30 in the morning, planning to comment my friends in the afternoon,
Wishing all of you managing busy days, writing in haste.
Love Miyako,

PS>  I typed some letters in word first and moved to blogger, hehe didn't work. did it...
         These are the pictures from the fonts I used,  just for example.

Surprised for my friends and help from remote operation

I was really amazed and surprised from my friends' comments to my former post "Are you using PC comfortably? "

       Thank you so much for your kind words friends!!!
       I meant to write about this post earlier but a bit too busy to do it.
I admire and respect the way everyone knows how to use PC comfortable way and effectively. Many of you have extra lap top besides main one on the desk; or have more than couple of them.  How wonderful if I can use PC outside garden surrounded with nature.
One of my Dear friends "maddyrose" who is a really talented artest told me about her several PC's are connected with printer through mail.   Oh!!!  That was a big surprise because I have two PC and one of them should have been connected printer.  Anyways  contacting printer's company, I knew that there is a wireless function with printer.  I bought an adaptor and now my two PCs are USB-free.

I was busy dealing with network thing for my two PCs through T-company's support center.  It seems other company doesn't have such  free-remote operation-help, (if there are SO sorry).  Without the staff's quite patient instruction by seeing my PC, I wouldn't have been able to use it.  Some years ago, when I  started PC rather avidly, I asked for their help so often that my hubby said that I might be on the black-list, haha.  And, in Japan I don't think many people with my age use them like I find in blog-land.

 Well,  thanks to my friend maddy; now I placed old one (which was on the desk and connected with printer) in my hubby's room so that no longer carrying work needed, yey♪♪♪  (hehe, same pics as I am so happy)

Are you using PC comfortably?

Hello, my dear bloggie friends!!!  I'm always wondering where my friends are using PC or comfortably. I used to sit down at my desk and tackling to know the function of PC.  However, for us women who have lots of work at home, it is hard to find time sticking our bottom on the desk-chair, don't you think?

Now, my PC has been put on my kitchen table since early this year in the really tiny kitchen, hehe.  Well, it is REALLY convenient for me to open it up and check your posts or looking into things I wish to know.  For example, when I heard the news that Mr. Steve Jobs had passed away, I opened the you-tube page and let my husband see his famous Stanford Commencement Speech (of course, with the Japanese subtitle version, haha).  I was happy to see he was quite impressed. We were surprised he was young and as old as me!
Despite of the convenience, I hate being clinged in the tiny kitchen. So, sometimes I bring it to hubby's hobby room for the change of the atmosphere sake.   But it is a separate room from main house so that I have to open two doors holding PC in my hands; dangerous thing for the clumsy person like me p;)
I love the relaxing feeling in there.  Hum, Do I need another one in there?
No way we can afford surviving with the pension money.
        I just wished to know how my friends use PC comfortably♬♬♬

Tried to make links

I  could place my link pages on my side bar. Last night while I was sleeping, an idea that I might be able to make my own link came upon me. After making another my own blog pages, I linked them with the main one. Each of them will be only one day's page because I don't know how to do it correctly. However, I am glad that I could manage to do it. My main purpose was to have my husband's Soba's page for his sake. He seemed to look a little happy to hear me say so.
I just started to write these pages. I'm sorry for the imperfect pages, it will take time for a while. And also feel pity not to be able find time to stop by other's blog and leave comments.
  Hope the new week will be the bright one for everyone♪

PS>  I've just noticed that there is a "editing page" function I could use, instead of making new blogs to link ^^:)    Well, I will go on with how I did it for my effort.  Happy that I could put the divider in the right place♪

"Young Pretty Guest" and "New background and Header"

Young Guest
Yesterday, my ex-student came and brought us three types of hand-made bread. First one, she called galet-coco(?). Second one she put ham and onion in it. Third one cream inside. Had a nice snack time in the afternoon together.  And then after that; while I had teaching job, they move to his hobby room and started playing session. As I don't have any talent for playing music instruments, he always misses someone to play with him. Seeing him enjoying her company, I really appreciated her taking time for him.

New background and Header
I've wanted to have background and header designed with "orchid, diary, saxophone".  Although I love all kinds of flowers and orchids,  my out of the blue naming to "orchid" sort of made me difficult to put all three together. Maybe, wonderful background designers I find through the blogger friends will be able to provide me ideal one if I order. As most of them are American, I wish I lived in America so that I can make contact with them easily.
However, I thought having two backgrounds, both of which I can use alternately, might not be the bad idea. With both of them, I can use the same blogger template and also the width of main post or gadget are the same. All I have to do is just change them from the "document" file. I arranged these illustrations by myself and asked pro to put them togather like the first one.

Whew, it sure required me time and efforts. My husband giggled at me saying, " I thank you for using saxophone, but I can see  similarities to the first one".
Oh, God. His words got me sulky a bit, P;)
Sorry if I surprise you to change them back to the former one soon at a whim.

Learnt a bit more about HTML and mistake for tea cup sites

I've made a big improvement to know what HTML is about !!!
When I happened to find the pasting place of HTML in the gadgets' adding function, I enjoyed using and fiddling with it in my side bar. Until then I had NO idea what it is, and also finding the other's button for their sites made me understood more for my level of knowledge. I could paste their code placed under their wonderful buttons in my gadget.  However, the problem aroused, I found the buttons without the code. But yesterday, I could unbeievably or accidentaly link their buttons (without codes) to their sites by using phtobucket and change the "htpp" from phtobucket to their site.  Ha, I thought it is worth praising myself.
Well, it still amazes me that texts can change into pictures and what is more; linking sure seems to be the must for bloging. PC is full of wonderland to me. Anyways, this finding rejoiced me very much.

I am so sorry about my mistake.
I must apologize my friend Terri and Martha about my mistake. I should have known more about "tea cup Tuesday" before joining or posting in there. I didn't have any tea related topic for it.
I am SO sorry for my mistake and even though I haven't got many tea cups, I will take pictures later for the occasion.

Cannot figure out followed and follow back, Sorry!

I tried to follow some bloggers with kind photojoy's suggestion and generously  Nomes's brag-a -long followed me. But I seemed to end up putting 2 of my follower sign and also followed myself. I apologize these troubles and if I caused others some trouble, I am ashamed.....  Sorry.
How come my sign has funny tag on it?  Well, might not be able to rectify them. I couldn't find answer from "help". I wished I could have. Maybe I am not qualified to have opened this up. Almost feel like this blogger is "above my head".
