From Camellia Festival (part 1) ;

My husband's band group attended "Camellia Festival" held in the next city, this year again. There were some activities & events both inside and outside the park. We enjoyed varieties of dances from Many Dancing Groups.

We are having weather so called  '三寒四温; alternation of three cold and four warm days'. Bit hard season to control body temperature;   Take Care of Yourselves♪

On Stage;

Band Group my husband involved was on stage for a Music Event called "Arakan Festival"  ←link to my last year's post; no stage appearance last year.

This concert is performed mainly by middle-aged and senior adults. In Japan, we call 60 years old "kanreki, 還暦".  The title "Ara-Kan" is from shortened word mixed with English "Around Kanreki → Ara-Kan" 

Unlike last year, I missed to see some of the performances. But I was lucky to take video of the same vibrandoneon player playing the different music from last year.

Sorry for the bad quality of the image of video again. Asking Nikon's staff didn't help. I was told if seeing through the pc video file is ok, no way they can help me.  Haha, also I could't make the second one vertical way.   Might be the last time of uploading video p:-)

Festival at Next City and etc;

Last Sunday, one of the bands my husband involves 'he involves two' which has the smaller members attended next city's Festival．The area is called '高千穂, takachiho'；

Several kinds of performs;

The instrument at the lowest left is called "Taisho koto; 
Japanese harp with two to five strings".  Picture page; It has very elegant sounds.

My first try of updating video directly through my video file.  It was so funny that the original one has clear picture. But seeing in my blog, it turned out really terrible...

Recent cute visiters;

*Summer holiday for the school children started in Japan* 

Recently, we had cute guests who showed us their skills of Electone or electronic organ "エレクトーン 'erekuto-n' ".  First girl is one of my students who is the 4th year of the elementary school. Second girl is the daughter of my husband's ex-colleague, whom my old friend may be familiar with. Yes, she's growing up beautifully♪

           She played the music which she played at the concert and awarded.
Oh, we and my husband's band group members (my husband taped her play) were so amazed at her skill. Almost made us think she is talented for professional in the future♬♬♬  So happy to be able to hear her play.

She showed us the music she played at the recital for children. We love to have these sweet guests :-)  Her mother is the excellent player and my husband enjoys playing saxophone with her keyboard. You'll see them in these pages.

Found the answer from Wikipedia, "Electone is the trademark used for electronic organs" of Musical Instrument Company.

City Brass Band Concert;

Yesterday, my husband and I've been to the concert of next city's Brass Band. 

As it is not a professional group, we were allowed to take pictures.

Went to "Ara-Kan Concert";

My husband was informed about a concert performed by middle-aged and senior adults. In Japan, we call 60 years old "kanreki, 還暦". The instrument in the left is called "vibrandoneon". And there are only 5 of them in Japan; my husband seemed interested in how many musical scales it has. In the right is called "erhu, 二胡". Music from these instruments were first time for me to enjoy.

Music Soft♪

I was amazed with the soft (score maker) my husband got close to last year end. He learned about it from the piano teacher who is also a member of the band he is involved. He wished to hear the sound of his part (alto sax) he has to play for the band. He still needs to fiddle with it more to master how it works.  Wow, it is fun for me to see the score he put these things ( ♪♬♯♭) makes music.  I have no knowledge about music, all geek to me p;)

Not the same thing or level, but that reminds me of the first scene of the movie "Holiday", which amazed me seeing PC is used for composing many years ago.

As he is out for fishing now, I had time to post this.

Handmade 'Music Stand' for keyboard♬

The keyboard of the band group which my husband involves got out of shape recently. He offered ours for the group to use (not so much used at home, haha).  He made 'music stand' for it, it is attached directly to the keyboard (detachable) and to reduce the weight he used plywood.  I thought there would be ready-made ones available, however he said he was going to make the wider one for the better use to the player.

At first, I didn't know what these wholes were for. There seems to be the music stands with this type of design, so worth the extra effort p;)
