Word Verification and need help if anyone knows!

I wouldn't have noticed my comment tag has word verification  unless some of my friends kindly mentioned to me.  As you can see,
it is not shown in my own comment form from my side. And also I cannot find the place or box where I can take the check off from for word verification.  Oh, God... to prevent the spam if I need, I will change to check "Registered User".  If anyone knows how to do it, would you please teach me how? I would really appreciate it.
I have noticed the new one got a bit hard to decipher when I was commenting to some of my friends. I DO wish to take it off
I don't know, but my trouble must have started when I changed to "new interface" and I needed to use Google Chrome???  And no box for remove it!  The place to put it back to the old one disappeared, whew.
My friend Fiona has the topic in her post (link←), but her good information didn't apply for my case.  Oh, I hate all these trouble for blogger cause us...

Well, today's post is asking for help (^^;)  Thank you for stopping by.  Catching up this evening.                                                        Love you always,        Miyako*

PS>  Yay!!! I could put my interface back to the old one and remove the word verification.  Mariette and Theresa had a good tip for me♪♪♪
If you had trouble with the "word verification" or going back from the new interface to the old one, please visit Theresa from "The run *A* Round Ranch Report"
My blog will be the "A Word Verification Free Blog" so that I won't cause you the eye-strain, haha.

As she says, I wish to spread the message of this.
And thank you very much Mariette for letting me know her blog. And also I wish to thank Fiona about her post. I just missed you mentioned Theresa's name.

  1. Hi Miyako, this Blogger is making everyone crazy! Go to settings and down toward the bottom there is box to check "no" for the word verification. Have a good weekend, xo

  2. Go to Settings, then go to Comments. It will give you a list of things to check or uncheck. Near the bottom of the page it will say Word Verification and you will check No.

I fyou check yes, it will require people leaving comments on your blog to complete a word verification step, which will help reduce comment spam. But Blogger is pretty good about catching spam anyway.

Blog authors will not see word verification for comments.

  3. Dearest Miyako,

Indeed it is because you changed to the new interface. You should first go back to the old interface in order to change this setting for the word verification. Please do read my post about it and at the very bottom you find Theresa's blog link and she did explain it VERY WELL and CLEARLY, also stating the problem with the new interface.
Don't worry, you will get rid of it soon. I know one thing for sure; this Blogger has taken so many hours from each one of us and caused lots of frustration!
    Love to you,

    Mariette

  4. I'm glad you found out how to turn it off. I turned mine off too. I used the new interface once and didn't like it. Luckily, I found out how to go back to the old one. Hugs to you.

  7. Hii dear Miyako. I'm so glad you sorted this out. It really is a pain when people use that word verification, and I have noticed over the past week that they are now asking for TWO words to be typed, and one of the words I can't even make out! So it is very hard leaving comments. I am so pleased that you are now a word verification free zone!! Hee Hee! Hope all is well with you. I haven't been around very much because I still haven't got an internet connection, after 3 weeks! :( Take care and sending hugs to you.

  8. Dear Miyako,
I'm so glad that you have the word verification removed. I've been having trouble reading them for awhile now and it gets very frustrating to have to try more than once to prove I'm not a robot. I took mine off several months ago and have had no problem with spam. Have a lovely weekend my thoughtful friend. xoxo

Love to you dear friend. By the way we are preparing again for receiving the next group of Japanese children with their chaperons as our sister-city exchange between Osaki City and Dublin Laurens County. They'll be here March 25.

  15. Sweet Orchid, I am just trying to catch up with of my dear friends. I have fallen behind again on my visits and posting. I have not felt well and just doing more than the daily requirements can be very taxing. Please do not take my absence as lack a interest or affection, dear friend. I love you dearly. Sending many hugs to you. Mina

  17. Oh, good. I will go back and do the same. The one word verification was okay, but I, too, find this two word verification difficult at times and often have to keep asking for new words until I can see it!

I do make sure that I am notified in my email when someone leaves a comment, so that if one that is inappropriate should appear, I can delete it pretty quickly.

    Have a good week, Orchid.

  19. Dearest Miyako,

Hope things work well for you. The button on my sidebar did not land me straight onto your post though. It first said the blog did not exist. One never knows what's next with Blogger!
    Love to you,

    Mariette

  20. My dear Miyako, thank you so much for popping across to my blog and leaving your comment. I do appreciate always seeing you. I'm so sorry that you are having your own difficulties with blogger at the moment :( It's so frustrating, isn't it?! Daughter number 2 loves the Buddha, and has lots of them all over her house. Take care my little friend, and I hope that you get your problems sorted out. Hugs.
