On 9th, we went to the "Cosmos Fair" with my friend held at the park in the town about 1.5 hour away from home. Today I wish you to just enjoy some of the pictures I took. It was my first visit there and I was surprised with the huge space :-)
*Cosmos Area*
*Mexican fireweed* This plant is called "houki-gusa; broom weed" in Japanese. As you can guess, one theory of the name's origin is used to be used as broom. |
*Butterfly Area*
Along the walk way to the cosmos area, there was a small section where we could see butterflies. Not may of them we could enjoy (may be a bit late). But these three girls (let me say so, haha) made my day as well.

ReplyDeleteI would love to see such a field of cosmos!! They are such pretty flowers - and so easy. I have them in my garden, they came up from seeds that "volunteered" here two years ago, and since then they are a reliable presence here. They don't need any care, nor water and readily re-seed.
