Butterfly from two places;

 *Chestnut Tiger Butterfly; "asagimadara,アサギマダラ"*
This particular butterfly travels through the Japanese archipelago from north to south. Spending summer cool northern part of Japan and south to even warmer "Okinawa".
v
*On 10th this month* same next city's hillside of the mountain (my another butterfly post here, where the flower they love "Boneset; hiyodoribana,ヒヨドリバナ " is cultivated.

 *On12th* at our city park. Thoroughwort  'fujibakama;フジバカマ' was blooming. I've noticed the similarities of both flowers.

ps; I thought these two flowers are really similar and a certain Japanese page explains they are congeneric species.  Here is the English Wikipedia page.  And I must add that these pictures are actually taken different day :-)  Hope you can see that tone of color of the butterfly and flower are slightly different.

I've met this lovely (a bit shy) girl at the parking lot ♡♡♡

  3. Wow similar flowers and butterflies on different day! As for flowers, I probably will think they are the same flowers if I happen to spot them :-) Both butterflies are very lovely. Light blue color on the wings are beautiful!
    Oh and the little girl you met is so cute :-) She looks like my boss's girl. Only, her coat is mostly white. She looks teeny tiny..I guess she is smaller than my kitties. (My boss's girl is in fact smaller than them!)

  16. I really love the pale blue color against that black and then the rust color on the lower tail. It's a beautiful butterfly and you did a wonderful job capturing it. The little dog is a Papillon, isn't it? So, it's another "butterfly" shot. :-) Have a wonderful weekend!

  21. Super shots of the beautful butterflies, like a stained glass window. I notice they have black bodies with white speckles like our Monarch butterflies, so pretty! The Eupatoriums have those wispy flowers, I like them a lot. The thoroughwort seems a little pinker. I am growing the Blue Mistflower in the same genus, though they recently split them apart into another genus, Conoclinum. They look like the flowers of my annual Ageratum, I love them too. Hugs from the PNW.
