* Jazz concert at Jazz Cafe *
The Saxophone player whom I introduced sometime in my blog sent me a mail about this concert through sns called 'line'. I was amazed at their sessions with these three instruments. The Saxophone player uses two types of them depending on the music.
I was lucky that the seat next to the piano player was empty so that I could take an interesting video I've never expected. I just felt a bit sad that I missed the impressive melody line which we call 'sabi' in Japanese.
* Bull-headed shrike *
Recently, I couldn't find birds. These are the ones I took before and haven't posted.
I spent busy Obon Season (my old posts) having guests, visiting family graveyard and so on. Wishing you are doing fine under extreme weather. Thank you very much for stopping by. I always appreciate your sweet comments;

That sure is an interesting video. It must be really nice to watch performance so close! Looks like it was a great concert! The little birdie is adorable. I wonder if birds are hiding in the shade due to extreme heat so you can’t find them. Hopefully it will get cooler as August is ending.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos of sunflowers! They look so delightful :-)
Happy Sunday, Miyako san. I wish you a wonderful new week xo
How awesome that you could be their music and record them! Sometimes, it seems that bird go to places that we can't go :) Your bird and flowers are just gorgeous, as usual! It's great that you shared these images with us.

ReplyDeleteMiyako - I enjoyed the video - the music and the unique angle. All of you are talented! Many of our birds seem to be missing as well - I think they have raised their families and now they are resting! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday and have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteThe head of the bullheaded Shrike makes me laugh, for it's living up to its name:) I so enjoyed the jazz music, Miyako! Nice the sax player sent you an invitation:) The musicians really seemed to enjoy their play. Your sunflowers image could be wallpaper! Many thanks for sharing these interesting details with All Seasons. Hope you'll accomplish all the things you need to do these week!

ReplyDeletethe video is fantastic and the busic great. I admire all people who can play or sing, because I lack totally music talent :) Sunny sunflowers and beautiful birds, too. Wishing you a lovely week.
Dear Miyako,
ReplyDeleteYou had a fantastic perspective on the piano player - so creative! Sunflowers are beautiful, as are the shrikes. Life is full of lovely things. Have a good week.
My husband loves Jazz. I do too, but not as much as he does.

Dearest Miyako,

Wonder if the Bull-headed shrike also loved to sing...
Great photos and especially those perfect sunflowers.
Yeah, Obon Season was at the time I was in Japan in July, 2007... Can't believe that lies already so far behind.
