After finishing memorial service of my husband's aunt and serving Soba with matukake-mushroom (one of Japanese delicacy for its distinct spicy-aromatic odor), Us 8 members headed for Tsuwano area in my prefecture.
When we stopped by roadside station (道の駅;michino-eki) to take a rest, there was an announcement from the staff that SL will pass the railroad above the stationin in 5 minutes. I got so excited with my first chance of steam locomotive pictures :-)
First picture below were zoomed one of the Chomonkyo-station behind the railroad we went up. It might be better if the railroad were the curvy one so that I could take the train's body as well p;-)
*Scenes from the town*
These sculptures are from the Egret-dance to dedicate for God.
For fence, critters and skywatch meme from this trip;

Spotted the hive of Japanese yellow hornet on the roof of the market. We passed 角島大橋 (Tuno-shima Bridge), posted here last year.
