Cat House made of rice-straw (猫ちぐら.nekochigura)

(posted; Japanese culture page)
The other day when I was watching one of "Variety Show" on TV, lovely small hand-made cat house made of rice-straw was being introduced. 2 people who are crafting them were explaining about the house. Personally I have never seen them before but it seems they are popular ones among the cat lovers so that there is a bit of waiting time required to get one.  It was originally made as the baby's bed,  maybe while parents were working.

Here is the Wikipedia and picture page

I was fascinated cats can enjoy the house made of natural materials♡♡♡
Hoping that they won't damage the beautiful craftsmanship with their craws (*^_^*)

  1. What a beautiful and unique idea for those kitties, my dear friend Miyako! I was fascinated at how they can make them so well. Any cat who gets to live in one would be living in the lap of luxury. And like you, I wonder if any of them would damage or destroy it...

Thank you for a very interesting post, as always, my friend! xo

Those are really adorable! Yes, indeed let's hope they will not sharpen their claws on them; that would be a sin!

  6. These houses for cats are lovely. I would worry that they would rip them with their claws, too. Glad you are feeling better. xo

  14. Dear Miyako,
Please forgive me for being so late visiting this post. I have a lot of catching up to do. What cute kitties and the house are really different from any I have ever seen. I imagine the kitten feels quite secure when sleeping in one of these. Much love from your big sis.
