Christmas Illuminations in my city♪

Good Morning friends from Japan;
I have never enjoyed our city's Christmas illuminations before. And didn't expected to go this year, either.  Luckily, my husband encouraged me to take pictures for my blog post. (I don't have driver's license so he has to take me)  Wow, he made me surprised with the offer p;)  My first attempt taking pictures at night...  I know my pictures didn't do justice to the beauty of illuminations. (I need help from my talented photographer friends; struggled with the modes, haha)
(So sorry for many pictures today;)

*At our city park*
Pictures are worse than taken in the city...  I visited here (the park) first and fiddled with the mode of camera before going to the city. Might have worked a bit. That is why I put them above.

"swans which became stars in the sky"  Early spring last year, about 400 of our swans we had in the lake by the park were killed due to the bird  influenza; made all of citizens so sad.

It took me so long arranging the pictures last night, haha.  And I know I need to catch up with you a lot (^^;)  My father is doing so-so well.  It makes me sad that considering his condition, we won't be able to take him to my house to eat year-crossing Soba noodle this year. Today, another busy day visiting aunt and and father and so on.  Hope you all doing well at this time of the year

  5. These are lovely photo's Miyako. I'm not very good at night shots myself.
You are busy with our family, maybe you can join your faher for the 'year crossing' celebration.
And yes, Christmas is important in the West - and for Christians it is the second most important time in the church year.

blessings to everyone at your home,
    Diana

  7. How nice of your husband to take you to the places to get photos for your blog. I think your photos turned out very well. Much better than my night photos. I find it so interesting to see the Christmas decorations from other lands. I hope your father gets better as each day goes by. Merry Christmas to you and your loves ones.

  8. Dear Miyako,
Your night photos are not bad at all. I doubt I could have done as well since I have trouble taking photos even when there is light.
I also don't drive so I know how special it is to have someone offer to take you to places like this that are for no purpose other than to be enjoyed. Thank you so much for sharing this experience with us.
I'm sorry to hear your father isn't well at this time and will pray that his health improves. Take care of yourself my dear little bs. Love you always

  12. Dearest Miyako san,
Lovely pictures you show. Never mind they might not be professionally taken but they sure give is a great insight into Christmas lights in your area. Love that cat sculpture in front of the Ana hotel! So cute, all of them are well done.
Enjoy this season, however bittersweet with your ailing Father. That is never easy with year's ending to have a Parent not being able to join for the special meal.
Hugs to you and wishing you strength!
