Interesting to know the biblical concept of Origin of the Language
"Gate of God" (from bab "gate" + ilu "god"). Meaning "confused medley of sounds" The name is a translation of Sumerian Ka-dingir.
"They are one people and have one language, and nothing will be withholden from them which they purpose to do."
It is fun to learn how Bible explains about language. I've been thinking if only we all have only one language to share, how easy communication would be.

God intentionally scattered mankind to retard their technological advancement by confusing their speech.
Even explained "This action effectively speciated humans into several groups allowing physical differences to develop."

Fascinating! I remember the story of the tower of babel but I didn't know that we had been separated to "retard" our technological advancement. Somehow it didn't stop us from building tall buildings and finding a way to talk to one another. 祝福
ReplyDeleteVery interesting information! We still managed to produce technology and thanks to intelligent people like yourself who are bi-lingual we can also communicate across long distances. Thank you for sharing such fascinating information, my sweet Orchid! Have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Orchid! One universal language would be a wonderful thing. I think it is wonderful how dedicated you are to the study of English and sharing with your students. xo,
