We've been to Osaka to attend my husband's uncle's memorial service last weekend and made a brief detour to the Kobe airport before that to see our niece. I couldn't resist taking pictures of pretty flower arrangements I found at the airport and hotel. There were seats to rest with them.
We were happy to have the reunion with his relatives after the long interval. I was quite impressed to see the way hubby's cousin taking care of her mother who is 98 years old at home. As she is retiring soon, she made a decision not to ask for the old people's home to accept her mother. My father's care-home has a long waiting list like almost all the others. In Japan aging of society seems one of the top priority matter to be dealt with. And not somebody else's problem for me as well.
Oh Orchid, these flower arrangements are so beautiful. I really admire the care and respect Japan has for their elderly population. It is not always so in the US and it is very sad. Have a lovely week!
