Dragonfly Sculpture & Lunch Gathering;

*Dragonfly Sculpture in our City*
The other day, one of our lady friend told me about the Dragonfly Sculpture placed on the main street of our City. My husband got so excited to hear this unexpected happy news. We rushed to take pictures of this special Sculpture. Dragonfly sculpture itself is not as big as we expected. After we came home I asked him how he felt from the work. He said that it sure is really artistic work but the body and tail look unbalanced p-;)  I knew he would have felt varieties ways from this work.

*Lunch Gathering with my Aunt & cousins*
Last month close to my birthday, my cousins invited me for our gathering. It sure was happy to be able to see them after a while last time. I hope this Japanese dish called ”釜飯 kamameshi" might look delicious for you all.   Kamameshi (釜飯) literally translates to "kettle rice" and is a traditional Japanese rice dish cooked in an iron pot called a kama.

Thank you very much for stopping by
Hope you all are coping with difficult situation with lots of restrictions we all are having.
I always appreciate your sweet comments;

  3. Dearest Miyako,
    Your husband was right as the dragonfly's head and wings were proportional larger than body and tail.
    Glad you got to have lunch with family!
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  4. Miyako - the sculpture is very intricate. Your husband is certainly in a position to critique the accuracy of the work! Belated Happy Birthday -- the table full of food looked so appetizing, especially the kamameshi. Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

  6. Hello Miyako, so good so see you again this week. The sculpture of a dragonfly seems to be a difficult undertaking, since it is so small:) great captures!
    The lunch looks delicious. Am happy you had fun, and wishing you a happy (belated?) birthday! Emille (Jesh)
