*Stunning Handmade Craftworks of variety of items*
Exhibition of the Handmade Artworks at the Big Supermarket in the capital city.
Through telephone-call from my husband's friend, we heard that "the 90 year old Bamboo Craftsman" whom we visited recently (last post) also exhibited his works there. I hope you can enjoy these stunning Handcrafts with Japanese Atmosphere;
His works are "dragonflies, fireflies, crabs" in the pictures below; |
My husband was really admired the elaborateness of the work in the picture right side;
Bamboo Tea Whisks up there have 100 (百本) of thin whisk part. |
Chashaku (bamboo tea spoon for making Japanese tea) up there were made by my husband; Present for his friend (lady band member he involves) and he heard that her mother looked really happy to have these;
*Shrike from early this year*

Dearest Miyako,
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely exhibition and leave it to the Japanese for being very artful in creating lovely pieces in miniature!
Never knew that the whisk for blending the green tea was made of bamboo. We had such an official ceremony where it got made that way, while visiting Japan.
Your husband's teaspoon is also special.
Hugs,
Mariette
