Performed for the "Respect for the Aged Day" meeting etc;

Respect for the Aged Day
The band group my husband involves attended the local recreational meeting for "Respect for the Aged Day".
It was held at the nursing home in Mine-city which located in a bit of countyside close to our city.
The elderly people at the hall all seemed to have enjoyed the several performances♪
In the video, they played 2 Japanese "enka. 演歌" which is Japanese traditional style ballad.  Happy if the music gave the audiences a little peace of mind and relaxing time.
These A.B are links of two songs from you-tube a lady singer is singing.

Other Performances I could take pictures.
*Found Red-Rumped Swallow and Cosmos *
On our way home from the Mine-City, Luckily I found new kind of Swallow for me.
Close to the place where I found them.
They were flying around from the rice paddy to the electric wire.
This is the page I posted the one I knew, mainly black and white color type.

*Orange Cosmos I found on our way back home as well*

Thank you very much for stopping by ;

  1. Dearest Miyako,
    That for sure did bring joy to the residents at the nursing home; music is a language all people enjoy.
    Your new variety of swallow was great on the way back and the fabulous Orange Cosmos rounded it all up. Miss seeing you...
    Hugs,

  2. Looks like it was s wonderful event. I know the nursing home residents enjoyed the music and other performances. Red-rumpled swallows are very pretty. Funny they are in almost the same posture on wire :-) And the cosmos are so beautiful! I don’t think I’ve seen orange cosmos. Usually they are pink. As much as I love pretty pink, I love the delightful orange color!
    Great photos as always :-) Have a wonderful new week, Miyako san xo

  4. Miyako - how wonderful that your husband and the band share their talents with the folks at the nursing home - so often these people are neglected. You always seem to find such beautiful birds! Enjoy your week, and thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday so faithfully!

  7. Great to have some musical performances for the elderly, since they are often a forgotten group! Can imagine you were jazzed to capture a swallow you had not seen before:) The orange cosmos flower is so beautiful, especially your capture with the bee. Thank you for sharing all these wonderful things with all Seasons! The season of Autumn has plenty of interesting things:) Have a beautiful week, Miyako!

  9. Dear Miyako,
    Singing for the elderly people would have cheered them up a lot, I think. I do like all the shades of pink in the jackets/tops the ladies are wearing. So pretty.
    And what a fun thing to find a new-to-you swallow!
    Have a good week.

  10. I remember the "home" my Grandmother lived her last years with Alzheimer´s.
    A horrible, sad place. No respect, no fun for them.
    Beautiful birds, and awwww. the flowers!
