Wood Craftsman's works and Rice Paddy with Blue Heron;

*Exhibition of Wood Crafts*
In the  middle of June, my friend taught me about the Exhibition of Wood Crafts held at the gallery close to her house. Lovely puzzle for kids and impressed by the lots of wooden artistic works.
Many works of cat's design were lovely.

*First works were Puzzles for kids *
The cat on the left has a washing board ;-)
My craft work lover husband liked this cat planing (hope the right word)

*Rice  Paddy and   a Blue Heron*
Pictures of rice paddies from this year. First one, I tried panoramic.  Appreciated if you enlarge the picture.  My husband said that the branches of tree is interesting ;-)

The brown field; you can see straw after mowed wheat.

Luckily, I could take a video Blue Heron enjoying late lunch.
Thank you very much for stopping by ;
I always appreciate your sweet comments;

  1. Wow, what a great exhibition! I enjoyed those wonderful wood works. It’s so amazing that the artists can create such lively figurines with woods! I adore the kitties, especially the one on a big fish :-)
    I love the panoramic photo of the rice paddies. Love the composition with those branches! And I enjoyed watching Blue Heron having lunch :-) Such peaceful and relaxing sceneries!
    My family in Japan said rainy season would be over around their area in a week. I’m guessing your area will enter hot summer soon. Please stay cool! Have a happy new week and new month!

  2. Miyako - a wonderful exhibition of wood crafts. Someone is a keen observer of cat behavior to be able to carve cats doing so many different activities. I like the cat riding the fish kite! Is the blue heron eating fish? Is it normal for fish to be in a rice paddy? Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

  4. My thanks Miyako for persevering with linking up! It seems that the Linky list in general has recovered from its problems of last week - yay!
    Am amazed how the cat inspired so many. Love the little cat riding the big fish (don't know the right word either, smile!) Still mindboggling to me how rice grows in water! It must have made your day to discover the heron having its meal there! Many thanks for sharing these interesting events going on in your part of the world with All Seasons! Have a beautiful summer week:)

  9. Hi my dear Miyako,
    These wood crafters are very skilful and they have plenty of imagination! Every child would be happy to get such a colourful puzzle. The big cat is so wonderful. It is always a joy to see your landscapes. Rice paddies in the scenery bring zen, I feel so. Many greetings from Finland.

  13. The wooden toys are beautifully made. I like giving toys made from real materials like wood or wool or cotton, and not from plastic. My grandchildren would enjoy the puzzles.
    Herons are such fascinating birds to watch.
    Have a good weekend, Miyako.
