*Buddha Sitting on Lotus *
The lotus has
been a symbol of purity since before the time of the Buddha, and it blooms
profusely in Buddhist art and literature. Its roots are in muddy water, but the
lotus flower rises above the mud to bloom, clean and fragrant.
In Buddhist art, it is believed a fully blooming lotus
flower signifies enlightenment, while a closed bud represents a time
before enlightenment.

It has been a time consuming, tough work for me to tackle with my divider issue. The HTML in the theme finally eliminated and found a way to use CSS with one of the helpful pc site (in English), took 2 days... Let me start visiting you from tomorrow. Have a wonderful coming New Week.

Hello and good morning Miyako, it's always a treat to stop by and view your lovely nature scenes. Such a relaxing and comfort it all is to see.
ReplyDeleteWow the lotus flowers are beautiful! They almost look surreal. Perfect bliss indeed! I remember seeing lotus flowers at temple in my hometown in Japan. I remember large leaves and frogs on them :-)
ReplyDeleteThe birds are so cute! I enjoyed the video. Glad you finally solved divider issue. It must have been really exhausting. Hopefully no more troubles in the future! Have a lovely new week, Miyako san!
Love the lotus flower - the only place I have seen them (of the places I visited in California) is in front of the Botanical building in San Diego, as well as the waterlilies (the latter ones are more commonly seen). it makes these flowers for a dreamy post, and thank you so much for choosing these beautiful ones for All Seasons. Have a beautiful week!
ReplyDeleteThe Lotus Flower is so beautiful. When I see it I think of peace.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful lotus flowers! And lovely sandpiper photos as well.
ReplyDeleteThose lotus flowers are lovely!
ReplyDeleteThose pale pink lotus flowers in a near shot are stunning. I have never seen a lotus flower, we cannot get those here. But its brown seed heads are very familiar. When I used to make arrangements with dried flowers, they were one ingredient I loved to use.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a beautiful day Miyako
Good morning Miyako from sunny New York....I agree that visiting your lovely blog posts are both informative and soothing at the same time....Michelle

ReplyDeleteMiyako, I have long admired the Lotus flower. I did not know it was developed 2300 years ago by Dr. Ichiro. I learned something new today thanks for the information. I am working on being enlightened. I fail. Get up and try again. I guess I am a bud still trying to become enlightened. Have a good week. See you next week.
