The temple, one of my husband's band group member is a parishioner held "Jazz Concert" at the end of Oct. My husband said that if only Saxophone player was in the member, the music would have sounded a lot better p:-)

Since last Friday, I have had busy days with 'rice cake making with guests', went to see the stage of the next neighbor's young girl and unexpected things require my attention.
Hope you all are having enjoyable Holiday Season;
(About my header; sorry if unmatched, I change it every post.)
It sounds as if you're very busy enjoying spending time with friends making rice cakes and floral wreaths, I always enjoy reading about your daily life, so different from my own.

ReplyDeleteI love the musical instruments arranged in a temple. West meets east :-) It's so cool they held jazz concert there. I would love to see live performance!
Your little bird visitor is very pretty. We have birds coming and eating nuts by cracking them open, too. Some of them make quite loud sound! I love watching them. My kitties enjoy, too, but probably with different reason :-)
師走の忙しい時期になりましたね^_^ 体調崩されないよう気を付けて、新年を迎えましょう!
Such a lovely flower arrangement and wreath!
ReplyDeleteHappy holiday season to you too! Your little bird with the nut is cute!

Hello Miyako!:) The flower arrangements and wreath are all lovely. I'm in shock! What,...no saxophone player in the band, how terrible!:))) You can tell your hubby that I love the Saxophone, and think that no jazz band is complete without one, and a good saxophone player. Your bird pictures are so pretty and festively framed. Happy rice cake making my friend, and have a good week.:)
ReplyDeleteYour friend is talented ... her wreaths and arrangements are perfect every time ... beautiful for the Christmas season. And you are equally as talented with your artistic photo arrangements.... the blue tit is so sweet in his lovely frame (I would print that picture and hang it on my wall if I were you!). I'm very slow and late in visiting but I will come back soon to catch up with all I have missed.
ReplyDeleteI would love to go to a jazz concert in a temple.
ReplyDeleteWorth a Thousand Words
A beautiful wreath and so skilful flower arrangements! It is so interesting to read about your culture! This year I have participated in an East-Asian reading challenge. Have read three books of Haruki Murakami and from Takashi Hiraide Neko no kyaku. Yoko Ogawa's Hakase no Aishita sushiki is waiting!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a lovely Holiday Season!
Love the bird photos!
ReplyDeleteThese are all beautiful flower arrangement (also in the wreath) and the birds are beautiful. Which instrument does your husband play?
ReplyDeleteLike the sound of a saxaphone - one of my daughters plays it, but I wish she had been more serious about it. The went on to piano and guitar. Many thanks for sharing these fun things with ALL SEASONS!

Hi Miyako! Such lovely pictures this week. I think the second flower arrangement is my favourite - so festive! The colours work very well together. I would love to hear the jazz band! I see you have a photograph of the double bass - it is one of my favourite instruments (#1 is the cello!) The bird is just beautiful, and we do not have this one in Canada. Have a wonderful week!
