*Rice grow ripe in Autumn*
*Rice grow ripe in Autumn*
The boughs that bear most hang lowest.
実るほど頭を垂れる稲穂かな minoruhodo koubeo tareru inahokana
This proverb derived from Japanese rice eating culture.
The interpretation I found from pc. "As berries ripen drooping ears, humans also deepens learning and virtue, humility." I think it is a reference to modesty and humility being virtues, and the virtue may apply to those who are the most unassuming, the least pretentious. I still have a lot to learn ;-)
Starts with K : Rice is the "King of staple food" for Friday's Hunt.

Dear Miyako, There are always beautiful things to see on your posts, and also educational subjects, ha ha, thinking of Pylon now!!! The rice fields are beautiful. The flower arrangement is breathtaking, and I love the pink rabbits and flowers. Have a good day my friend!:)
