Ear of Rice and Japanese Proverb etc;

 (posted; Etymology page)
Rice grow ripe in Autumn*
         The boughs that bear most hang lowest.
       実るほど頭を垂れる稲穂かな  minoruhodo koubeo tareru inahokana
                This proverb derived from Japanese rice eating culture.
The interpretation I found from pc.  "As berries ripen drooping ears, humans also deepens learning and virtue, humility."   I think it is a reference to modesty and humility being virtues, and the virtue may apply to those who are the most unassuming, the least pretentious.    I still have a lot to learn ;-)
         Starts with K : Rice is the "King of staple food" for Friday's Hunt.

  Cute road side guard
Recently, we found these cute rabbits instead of normal traffic cone :-)

Coincidentally, found the pink flower at the road side. Name unidentified.
So sorry for my long absence; start visiting you soon☆☆☆

  5. Amazing to see rice grow. I think in some areas here in Texas they have rice paddies, but I've never SEEN it up close like you shared. And for that I thank you.

  6. Dear Miyako, There are always beautiful things to see on your posts, and also educational subjects, ha ha, thinking of Pylon now!!! The rice fields are beautiful. It's great to see fields full of corn, wheat, or rice. We eat a lot of rice in Portugal, it is the main accompaniment, and meal in itself. The flower arrangement is breathtaking, and I love the pink rabbits and flowers. Have a good day my friend!:)

  13. Cute pictures, dearest Mikayo of the pink bunnies. So nice you share them on your blog! And you know, I never seen rice fields. So this is surprising! I know rice only in packaging from the store. What kind of rice you use for food? I often use basmati rice. Beautiful picture of the flower arrangement! So colorful. (And know that I return to your blog, though it sometimes takes a while)
