* Sea of Flowers; 花の海 2016*
This is the 3rd year of Sunflower post from this
place.
"花の海" is the biggest 'System farm' in western Japan. This year, they said
there are 500,000 of them which bloom with 3 time lags. Yes, it was really hot and precaution needed; I wore a hat with wide brim :-)
Left picture below is for the macro link;
I saw lots of butterflies "Pantala flavescens" flying over the flowers;
but really hard to take good photos, they won't perch on the flowers (^^;)

ReplyDeleteDearest Miyako,
ReplyDeleteWhat a sea of sunflowers in their pretty golden yellow!
Our Sister-City of Sanbongi (part of Osaki City) also is famous for its sunflowers.
However we did not get to see such huge fields when we were there in July.
Love the flying dragon flies, you captured the total in a an excellent way.
Sending you hugs,
Mariette
The most cheerful of flowers.

What a wonderful sight. You cannot help but smile at those beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely. What a wonderful place to take photos
ReplyDeleteWhat a heavenly post. It brings back the memory of driving in Colorado and passing huge fields of all bright yellow sunflowers. I got my husband to pull off the road and I walked out into the field so he could take my picture surrounded by beautiful yellow sunflowers. This are wonderful captures. The one of the field from behind with their umbrella is my favorite. And the hat is oh, so cute. If I had been in the shape I would have bought it as I always wear brimmed hats. genie
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sight those sunflowers are, so many of them lifting their heads to the sun. Hats are good ideas on these hot, sunny days. I wear mine often. Are the sunflowers harvested for their oil? Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteLove all the sunflowers

I love sunflowers Miyako. Our oldest grandson and his wife were married in an outdoor ceremony; they had vases and vases of sunflowers and you could see some still blooming behind the shelter... the prettiest wedding ever! And yours is the most beautiful flower farm ever!! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing place to visit. So many gorgeous sunflowers and photographed beautifully. Loving the one of the two girls under the umbrella against the blue sky.

Lovely fields of sunflowers. It must've felt amazing to stand among them.
ReplyDeleteWOW! I have never seen so many Sunflowers before adn I love the shot of the 2 girls in the field with their umbrella up.
ReplyDeleteHello Miyako!:) Rarely have I seen such beautiful pictures of Sunflowers. These are all beautiful images and I also like the one with the two girls with their backs to the camera sharing a sunshade. It could easily be a wall painting. The cats homes made out of straw are cleverly made, and look very attractive, they remind me of bee-hives. Have a nice day, and take care.:)
ReplyDeleteWow that's a lot of Sunflowers. So very pretty. What a nice entrance to the garden as well.
ReplyDeleteWow! So many sunflowers! They look beautiful, I can only imagine how spectacular they are in person.
