Musical Performance at Temple (part 1)

*  Preparing  for the performance*
At the temple, where my late parents were Parishioner, the Birth Feast of  'Shinran Shonin 親鸞聖人'  will be held on 21st. One of my husband's band group (he involves 2 bands) was asked to perform some music for the occasion.

With permission from the chief priest of the temple, I can show you 'Main Hall 本堂hondo' where they will play. They rehearsed there in advance two days ago.

      *A guest*
During the rehearsal, a swallow got into the hall from the opened window
and found the way out a few minutes later♪ (quiet mode, please p:-)

As we have an Electone, They are also rehearsing at my house.
Thank you SO much for the kind words for my parents' old house;
Our 'Open House' schedule will be this Saturday and Sunday; got earlier than expected.  My husband is trying to paint some parts inside the house to look a bit better and in a hurry. I'm carrying things for him as usual :-)
I'll Try Hard and Hope to SEE YOU SOON♪

  5. Hi Miyako san. How cool your husband is going to perform at the temple! Hondo looks really gorgeous. I bet visitors will love the music when they come to the event! Loved the video of the swallow. So cute, but he looked bit panicked, haha. Glad he found the way out :-)
    I hope the open house will go well. And the performance at the temple, too! Have a great new week, Miyako san xoxo

  6. Once again, although you two are so much younger, I see things wew have in common ... when we do home improvement projects, I am the carrier and fetcher of things! (I'm happy that your sweet husband can do this work to prepare your parents' home for its next life ... and that you can help!).

    It is lovely that your husband's band is asked to perform at the Temple where your parents attended. I know it will be a beautiful performance for the Birth Day celebration. The Temple is very beautiful. I am glad it was approved for you to show it to us. Thank you.
