We have varieties of kanmochi in Japan. This page is from Takeyama-town in Iwate-pref. where is very cold in winter. And the picture page you will find interesting. It is thought that the coldness makes cake sweeter. Here is my mochi-post in 2013.
My husband heard that his 2 ex-lady colleagues haven't eaten freshly pounded rice cake and never rolled into mochi-shape either. So we invited them and made usual mochi 'not dried ones' together. Kind of surprising for me as I've experienced making them close to late Dec. since child.
This cute lovely baby boy behaved really well, enjoyed seeing what we were doing ♪ |
*Hawfinch・Pale Thrush and Brown-eared Bulbul*
My first luck to take pictures of Hawfinch and others from late last month.
They are from the trees close to my house with still berries on it.
They've eaten all their food now p:-)
This is one of the chocolate boxes my husband had; we loved the pictures on the box and the shapes of the chocolates♡♡♡
We are hoping tomorrow will be the last day of checking my late parent's empty house. Wishing to start visiting you soon. Have a wonderful weekend and coming new week!
