Lady keyboard player, who is in the same band group with my husband, kindly sent me pictures of this unknown flower (for me p;-) through 'line'. Even my elementary school students have this SNS's mail system nowadays. Here is the link of (part1).
This Hoya is also known as 'サクララン' which literally means 'cherry orchid' in Japanese. Really surprised to see this plant has grown this big and looks like orchid ♪ Wikipedia page, Picture page ; (for flower links)
I loved her way of putting musical notes in the background. |
She is so sweet that showed me the blooming process as well. |
Last March after I visited Japanese Garden (←link page), we stopped by this restaurant for lunch. I haven't posted this place and thought pinkish color gateway might fit with this post, and for Tex's meme as well :-)
I remember enjoyed having the set lunch menu; mine and husband's. |
My First Crescent Moon shots and Cute Doggies;
On 16th when I was hearing weather forecast, learned that the Moon and the Saturn got close. Rushed outside and took some pictures and found 2 tiny spots of lights. Haha, no idea what they are. And the pictures of 2 moons were taken on 18th and 19th. My first Crescent Moon♪ (for SkyWatch and Saturday Critters)
On 19th, my friend and I went to the city park to see the sculpture exhibition; I'll post the topic later. These 2 cute dogies were with their masters and seemed having fun seeing sculptures.

Miyako, I've missed you for a while. So appreciate your wonderful pictures and Japanese lessons as well. Hugs from Texas.
ReplyDeleteHello Miyako!:) I was so surprised when I saw this plant,and recognized the flower imediately, as I have one, but had been unable to discover it's name. Mine has grown very tall, with many leaves but produces few flowers, however I think the waxy pink flowers are extreemly beautiful as your photos show. The Japanese gardens with their bridges ponds with COi and waterfalls are very lovely.
