Three kinds of Craft-Works;

 (posted; Japanese culture page)

On 10th, after I offered carnations for my parents' grave and the altar in their empty house, I visited the exhibition at the gallery;

*Pottery*
     Two artists happened to be there;
  • These lovely birds up there are chopstick rest♪

These are dish plates and I thought the black color brings out the flavor of the meal.

*Woodwork*

Dyed Fabric*

                                          For the last, cyclamen from my old picture file;

  10. An elegant and beautiful craft show. I love how everything is arranged so perfectly (the fabric for example, is perfectly placed; it is almost as beautiful to look at as a flower arrangement!). Of course the birds are my favorites -- they are so well made.

  12. Hi Miyako, glad to read from you again.

    Those crafts are genius. I live yhe bird chopsticks rest. They're made cute. The black dish however is something new to me. They look so unique. The woodworks are also impressive as well as the dyed fabrics.

  16. Such intricate designs of crafted wares. I was thinking the birds would look nice on a window sill until you said they were chopstick holders. :-)
