I've heard about the 'Fake Cake Exhibition' through local TV news.
It was held at my late parents' birth-city an hour drive from my house. Don't you think this topic is really timely for coming Valentine's day:-) These works were made by material called 'Modeling Paste' (Thick Acrylic Gel blended with Marble Dust).
I took many pictures, so please let me show you the rest of them on 14th; some of them are feminine type works .
At the entrance, gate to the sweet world; |
Table made with fake sweets; |
*Cute and Lovely Works* And many critters even though they were fake cakes p:-)
For 'Good Fences': In front of the hall this exhibition was held, this sculpture was placed as if it is a gate♪
For 'Saturday Critters': Before enjoying the exhibition, we had lunch at my cousin's restaurant. Before leaving there, I found this sparrow looking at me on the tree in the parking lot. Seemed a bit tired and cold, might have been asking me help.
(I wish you'll enjoy part 2 of my next post)

ReplyDeleteThose are amazing -- almost like sculptures! And it is a good thing they AREfake because I can't imagine anyone wanting to make the first slice and ruin their beauty. Wow, what talent those decorators have.
ReplyDeleteAnd you, my friend, have a great deal of talent as a photographer. Thank you for sharing it.
(I used to feel sorry for the birds in wintertime (when we lived in Oregon) but that sparrow looks healthy enough ... he must be finding enough to eat.
