New Year Flower and Birds from last year;

*Inside of the front door*
As we don't have Japanese type alcove in my tiny house like you can see in this picture page, I usually put my arranged flower on the little furniture inside of the front door. Unlike usual year, I chose a bit easy way. I've bought one of the ready made one from the little flower shop whose owner is my husband's old acquaintance. I added the sheep ornament I bought especially as its this years zodiac sign and mine.
The pictures below are from the flower shop and they are handmade ones by the owner and her daughter, you may notice which one I bought :-)

* Birds from last year*
This pigeon was from last Nov.; taken close to my house. Looking at me with lovely face :-)
Surprisingly I found this wagtail in the parking lot of the big shopping mall late Dec.
It was a bad weather day p;-)

  2. Dearest Miyako,
    Well, we don't have an alcove either when you come through the front door in the entrance hall. Just a coat rack with chest for gloves, scarves and such.
    You chose well and I love the sheep with its dual function for your birth year's zodiac and the 2015th.
    Enjoy some calming days ahead and looking forward to good health and things to enjoy! Love your birds as well.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  11. Miyaka, such beautiful flowers, and good that you have the sheep reminder as well. The bird in your picture is quite unusual, and the markings are very pretty. Hugs from Texas, my friend.

  18. Dear Miyako, you have decorated your home nicely :) I thought, what a cute little bird at the end, but, did you realise it has only one foot? How can it hold on to a branch?
    Hope you had a nice start into 2015, mine was rainy...
    Hugs from Germany
