Sparrows and Fences with Lavender;

     *Sparrows at the tiny local park*
Normally sparrows are too alert and agile for me to take pictures. They were kindly resting on the rock just for a while for me.  These pictures were taken at the end of last month. Whum, So-so for the first photographs of them :-)

      *Fences with Lavender at the city park*
These pictures were also from late June. I thought lavenders were lovely match with fences and gazebo there.  Only if I hadn't missed taking close-up shots of the lavender (^^;)

    We are having dreary and rainy days, not having clear sky day lately.
While fiddling with old pictures, I found this clear sky picture I haven't posted from this spring which we miss so long.  Although I know hot muggy summer is waiting for us in no time, I found myself waiting for the crisp blue sky like this

Thank you very much for stopping by;

  6. The photos of sparrows are wonderful! I especially love the second one - the sparrow looks so cute in grass and some flowers :-)
    The gazebo and lavenders look beautiful together. I like lavenders. My hand soaps in the house are lavenders :-) Oh, I understand how much you miss the clear blue sky! I felt the same way when I was in Japan in rainy season. It's just, too much rain, too jime jime.
    I hope sun will show up for you soon :-) Have a great day, Miyako san!

  8. Hello Myako!:)You did well to capture the sparrows, I love the second image. My husband held one in his hand yesterday, as it had flown inside my studio, and he captured and rescued it. The gazebo must be a great place to look at the lavender and watch the bees, one of their favourite plants to visit.
    Hope your weather improves soon!:)

  15. I love the little sparrows - they are so sweet and plain, yet their song is the prettiest of all the birds! Beautiful lavender garden - so neatly laid out with pretty pavilion to sit under. I know about wet, dreary weather, living here near Seattle - we are known for our rain. When the sun finally comes out we appreciate it so much!

  16. I think you did a beautiful job on the sparrows portraits. Sorry for all your rain, I know that must make you have cabin fever. Beautiful sky shot with those puffy white clouds.

  17. Dear Miyako,

    Cute photos of the little sparrows.
    Over here often at the outdoor cafes, they often hang around to see if there are any crumbs on the floor.
    The lavender park looks really pretty.
    Hope you are enjoying the week dear friend.
    Sending love and hugs

  35. nice to pick up your photos of the humble sparrow; something I do not see here. I think the native miners chased them all away, like they do many birds unfortunately. Weather here too is grey, cold, windy ....sunny skies should prevail some time in the near future for us both
