Giveaway and Quiz

*Can you guess how this thing used to be used in Japan?*

I saw this thing appeared on TV's variety show a couple days ago p;)

I was planning to make next years calender for giveaway to my friends like the past 2 years. You can see how they looked like here, 2012 and 2013.  Unfortunately, I couldn't find the calender template site I used; the site must be closed and couldn't find any other appropriate one, either...  I felt so sad about it as the calender is the only way I can do to show my appreciation to my blog friends.
So this year, I decided to "frame giveaway" which has Japanese atmosphere. I've made these frames by using the designs from free illustration site. I'm not sure if you have any usage for them but I chose 8 frames with different seasonal designs.
(Please click the pic to enlarge for the better view.)

*To enter the giveaway*
Firstly, I decided you should be already my follower. You can just guess what first 2 pictures are by using only a couple of words (your answer doesn't have to be RIGHT one. Also you can just say NO IDEA) and please mention clearly you are entering. I'll choose 3 friends with fair way and send the file from word through mail.  I'll announce the winners in my next Tuesday's post (Japan time).  In that post, I'll explain what they are for in our history.

ps> for my Japanese friends, naturally you don't have to guess, haha. Please just say so if you are entering.   I'm trying hard to catching up on visiting you, my friends
*Visiting you soon*

  7. Such beautiful frames my dear Miyako :) I would love to enter your giveaway. The first picture signifies music in the spring ( something to do with japanese cherry blossom season and music ? ), the second one is to do with the beautiful flowers that bloom in japan :) I don't think I'm correct , but it's exciting to enter the giveaway!

Have a great weekend my dear friend :)

  13. Dearest Miyako,
    I would have NO clue...
So glad that today I manage to visit some blogs. My allergy is less and more bearable. The itching and the swelling in the face, even on my right wrist (?) was awful. and this from medication that I had to stop using. So glad we found out.
    Hugs to you,
    Mariette

  16. Hello my friend! I'm sorry I've been negligent in visiting with you (and many others). I've read a few entries and will post on another here in a few minutes. Your frames are lovely! The item you showed that is used on carriages is quite fascinating. I love visiting with you so please forgive my lack.
