Hi, friends; how is (or was) your hot or cold season. My busy Obon is almost over. I'll be able to have more free time from tomorrow, I hope.
One of my cousin's two daughters is going to get married next moth. The other daughter made this lovely handmade crafted candy flower for the top of the wedding cake. While we were visiting her, she was making test version and my cousin kindly sent me the pictures of the process later. (This page introduces us varieties of crafted candies.)
*Here is how she made the candy flower*
(she needed to wear gloves as the candy is very hot)

Dearest Miyako,
ReplyDeleteWow, your second cousin (daugther of your first cousin) is very talented!
I do have lots of those Demarle items for making cakes and chocolates and also the very same Demarle Silpat mat but without the recipe I cannot make those lovely roses. Quite an artwork and that wedding cake will no doubt be very pretty.
Glad you got so much of the things behind your back by now.
Hugs,
Mariette

ReplyDeleteHi Dear Miyako. What a pretty header picture. My goodness me, making those flowers for the top of the wedding case is quite an intricate business, isn't it?! I bet she was so happy to be able to do it for her sister's wedding though. I'm glad that your busy period is over my friend. Hope you haven't been overdoing things. See you again soon hopefully. xx
ReplyDeleteOh, my this is fascinating, my dear friend! How I wish I had the talent and skill to do such things. I would love to watch something like this in person. Hope all is well with you!
