Narcissus♪ (Green Day)

The other day, I enjoyed strolling in the next city's park, where Narcissus flowers are blooming beautifully. While taking pictures bending down, I could also enjoy their sweet fragrance.  We all are "narcissist" to a certain degree, aren't we  (*^_^*)
I didn't know about the myth until I started learning English myself before 30.

(I do wish to be able to take better pics...)

As that day was my late mother's anniversary of her death, I stopped by her grave and placed some flowers for her. She had been learning flower arrangement and never missed the arranged flower inside of the front door of her house. I'm not learning it; costing a bit(^^;)    At the flower shop, I also bought this "kalanchoe" for our front door. The owner of the shop said this one is a new kind; I have no way of knowing it, haha.

I hope you all are having a wonderful week.
I'll link this post to green day ;   Happy Friday, everyone♪♪♪

  2. What beautiful flowers, my dear friend! It's such a wonderful way to honor your mom's memory, as well. I love kalachoes and they grow well in our climate here. They also have such a profusion of bright color. Thank you for brightening our day!

  3. your photos are beautiful! i always appreciate what you say about my photography, but truly, i let the camera do almost all the work - they make them smarter than us humans. :)

love the daffodils (that's what we commonly call them in the states). and i'd love to have fresh flowers around, too, but they are so expensive. :) hope your new plant flourishes.

  4. Dear Miyako,
Your photos are beautifully done and the flowers are so pretty and make me wish I had a yard full of them to admire. I love to see flower arrangements done by someone who has the skill to arrange them to look like works of art. I have never learned to do this. The ones you have chosen to have near your front door are lovely as are the ones you chose for your mother.
Have a wonderful day my dear little sis. Love from you bs

  7. I love the narcissis or daffodil plants. I think that Kalanchoe is most unusual. Looks like little bells. Beautiful plant. Weather looks lovely where you are, Miyako. So cold and rainy and very windy here. xo

  9. Wow Miyako san, these narcissus flowers are so pretty! I remember there were narcissus in the garden when I lived in Japan. I don't think I've had kalanchoe ever but they are very pretty, too! It must have been really nice to see your mom's arranged flowers in the house. My mom doesn't do formal flower arrangement but she puts several flowers together nicely and displays them in the house :-)

  11. Dearest Miyako,
Lovely tribute to the fragrant Narcissus! They are the first spring bodes to us and we do enjoy them. Narcissus is their latin, or botanical name and daffodils is the common name. You bought nice flowers and for sure you also tended well to the grave of your dear Mother.
    Hugs to you dear friend,
    Mariette
