Hello friends; I wish to send summer greetings to all of you.
I hope you are coping with the heat well.
I don't think I am... summer is the season I always get exhausted(^^;) I feel like hibernating (in summer, haha) inside the house. When I entered junior high, I joinned the tennis club hoping to strengthen my tiny body. Haha, wrong idea!!! I quit 4 months later when summer came; just have a lovely memory with father that he took me to the store to choose my racket and his, played with me sometimes for fun. He understood my quitting the club.
Well, recently he totally is not reacting towards me when I visit him, he used to smile seeing me. After having pneumonia this spring, his condition obviously is getting worse. One other thing at his place; I feel there used to be a lot more brighter atmosphere, smiles of the staffs' face and much talking to the old people there. Oh, I understand they have tough job on their shoulders! Just saddens me a bit.
*One happy finding♪
Accidentally, I found the way to put the letters in the white backgrounds into picture form for the blog without making them blurry with bluish color. (I use JTrim, I wonder if this soft is available only in Japan as it is written in Japanese)
I was PRETTY HAPPY for this as I wished to solve the problem for a long time without succeeding it. Haha, just one thing to know for your problem(^^;) I've been using this soft for making backgrounds transparent without noticing it!!! I'm willing to tell you through mail if you need the way how; and also providing you have the soft and don't mind to use the word; mind you, my level is really low p;)
I hope your summer will be a happy one; I expect mine is going to be busy.
So, I won't be able to post as frequently as before, hehe.
Ich schicke Dir auch viele sommerliche Grüße per Wolke ins ferne Japan...:-)

I am so sorry for your dad's condition, my dear friend Miyako. It's so hard to see them lose ground like that. I believe, though, deep down, he knows it is you and that you are there for him.
ReplyDeleteAnd about the weather, it is just TOO hot!!! I'm looking forward to cooler weather, for sure~
Dearest Miyako san,
ReplyDeleteI wish go back to your spot..
Yahari karada-ni taisetu desu yo.
Please take care of your time.
I going to some thing writing tomorrow. because I'm going to see my
dentist.
See you,
Michiko
Dear Miyako,
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about your Dad's condition.
I'd love to send some cooler weather your way, as we have rain here. And I would love having some nice and hot weather in the summer. But over here that doesn't seem to happen.
Have a lovely day my friend.
Dear Miyako,
ReplyDeleteI do not do well in hot weather either and prefer to stay inside where it's cooler. I'm so sorry to hear of your father's condition worsening. I will keep him and you in my thoughts. Enjoy your day my dear bs in Japan. Love always.
here in texas, we are in the hot, dry brutal part of summer, too. thank goodness for air conditioning! much of the day is spent indoors!
ReplyDeleteHi Miyako, I understand how you feel with the heat. It knocks me out too, I stay inside mostly with the a/c on. I am sad to hear about the nursing facility. I guess everyone gets their good days and bad days. Maybe a lot of the staff is on vacation and the ones left behind are overworked. Happens here all the time. Take care, my sweet friend, and stay cool! Fall is on its way!! xo
ReplyDeleteP. S. I am having lots of computer issues, so if you don't see a post or hear from me, it is that I cannot log on! I may need to get a new omputer. xo
ReplyDeleteHi Miyako san. I am so sorry to hear about your father... But I think he is smiling in his heart.
ReplyDeleteThe heat here is quite severe, too. Only, I stay inside with air conditioner on all day, so I don't suffer too much. I guess in Japan, air conditioner is not used much to conserve energy. Thank you for your comment and please don't worry about commenting. Please take good care of yourself...natsubate shinaiyo ki wo tsukete kudasai!
Hi Miyako. I wish you could send some summer heat to England, it's a bit cold over here again! I love summer but I do find the heat exhausting. I'm sorry you had such a sad time visiting your father recently
ReplyDeleteClare xxx
You are in my heart, post when you can everyone will be here.
ReplyDeleteI do not like the heat either and stay inside where it's cooler.
So sorry to hear your father is not doing well.
Yes it is a tough job taking care of the elderly and sad too when theuy begin to fail.
I hope all goes well.
I am busy too, much more then I would like to be.
Take care dear friend.
Love & hugs
During summer I like to stay inside with the air con on and in winter I like to stay inside with my dressing gown on........lol
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you dad isn't doing to well but you may find that he has good days and bad days, the good days are the days when he seems to know who you are and even talks a little and of course the bad days are the days that he just doesn't seem to connecting with you during your visit. That is how my nan is some good days some bad days.
Another Texas woman who has air conditioning! It is still hotter than 104 or 105 the weather person says for it feels like an oven in the heat of the day.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about your father and I will keep your family in my prayers. My father has been gone awhile but my mother is still with us and will celebrate her birthday in a couple of months.
Dear Miyako,
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear that your Dad is having health problems and do hope he will be feeling better.
thanks for the greeting from hot Japan
and wish I could send over a cool breeze to you.
Also glad that you were able to find out to put the white backgrounds in your blog - it is a thrill when you are able to work things like this.
Hope you are enjoying the week
Hugs
Carolyn
Hello Miyako!
ReplyDeleteLuckily here the temperature dropped a bit yesterday. I know exactly what you mean about the heat, though.
I'm sorry to hear about your father and I hope that he recovers soon.
I hope you'll have a great summer however busy it is!
Greetings all the way from Greece! :)
Dearest Miyako san,
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are coping with the heat. It is very hot and humid here in the southeast of the USA but I cannot complain. I'd rather have hot weather than cold!
Sorry also about your Dad... life is tough at that stage. For him, for his loved ones and those that take care of him. Japan is very much an aging society of people, like in The Netherlands and in the USA. So for that fact, there is a lack on care for the elderly and all their problems as we are keeping humans alive longer, with more care needed for a longer time.
Let's hope you manage your summer and its emotions that come with your Dad's care.
Love to you,
Mariette
Hi Miyako,
ReplyDeleteAs our parents get old we just have to take one day at a time.
I do not like hot weather either.
Love,
Lorraine
I'm so sorry to hear about your father, sweetie. Take care.
