Making Header transparent "PNG"

Hello Dear friends, I hope you all are doing well. I'd had a really busy and hectic week having soba guests several times and so on. We say "Menomawaru isogashisa" in Japanese literally means; too busy that I feel my eyes are circling". Haha, sorry for my strange translation.
Right now, I'm SO worried about my aunt's physical condition. She has been hospitalized with lung cancer and she had already had a big operation about two years ago. Not so long after her operation, she was beside me when my brother died tragically. I know she tried to help me for my late mother.

Anyway,  I wished to change my header to refresh the mood. And the trouble is my background is not white so that I needed to make it transparent. Wow, I never knew it was such a big challenge!!!  I used the header of other my link pages, which I made with great struggle last year. And arranged it with some free illustrations in word again. Haha, I got stuck there because the back of the part of the illustrations is white... NOT transparant.  I needed to know about the different types of images called "JPG, GIF, PNG".  I will fill you in about this later because I don't really have time now. My main one was put togather by professional, so it was already transparent.  I am afraid of fiddling with template; mine is Ethereal and this is the only way I know how. Too much illustrations p;)
When I showed the new header to my hubby, he asked me where the one with saxophone was p;)   I explained it is in the safe place, haha. It is funny that he always complains that I engage in too much time for blogging.

  1. Dear friend Miyako- I will be praying for your aunt. She sounds like a warm, loving woman. I do hope she sees improvement in her health.

Your blog looks great! I don't ever have much time to tinker with how it looks. One day, hopefully, I will have time to work on and get it looking really good like yours.

I hope you are able to take some time and rest yourself!

  2. Hi Miyako, I hope your aunt improves her health soon and that you don't have to worry to much. You have a lot on you plate at the moment with your dad. Hope he is keeping better as well.
I love the look of your blog. I'm afraid I am hopeless at changing things on my blog.
    Take care of yourself.

  3. Dear Miyako,
I think your blog header looks great. I'm afraid I'm a real idiot when it comes to knowing anything about designing a blog page. I had help with mine. What you've done with your's so far looks very professional.

I hope your aunt's health improves and that she isn't suffering. I know you will be there for her and she will know that you care.

Take care of yourself my dear friend. Hugs

  10. Sweet Orchid, let me first apologize for being so late in wishing your father a full recovery and am happy he is doing better. I am s sorry to hear about your aunt and will send peaceful healing thoughts her way along with calming warm ones to you.

I love your new header and feel that you do a magnificent job on these things. Particularly for someone with no professional background with computers.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. You are a wonderful soul full of light. Hugs, Mina

  11. It becomes quicker to blog (tell your hubby), if you spend more time (& gain more knowledge) in how to go about it LOL, I've only been doing it for a year & I am learning all the time & remember when I first stared it took me hours working out just how to link photos & click through to other websites, now I know it's easy & takes no time at all ;)
I hope all your family is getting better & your aunt improves & the doctors can help her recover. Take care & your blog is beautiful!
