'Girl's Day' Festival on March 3rd;

Dolls for Girl's day Festival is called "Hina Doll"
Local Handicraft Association called 'タンポポの会 Tanpopo no kai ' held this exhibition at the next city's department store.  Like last year, I was really amazed at the huge scale of exhibited works.  And I also added exhibited other kinds of works as well as bird.  Oh, please bear me with this really long picture post.
*Playing with Sea-shell*
The musical instrument is called ”koto 琴”.

*Works with 'Bird or Chicken' Design which is this year's Oriental Zodiac Sign*

*Japanese bride wearing Kimono bridal costume*
*Hina-Dolls made of Cocoon Filament*

*Head of the association was having an interview from local TV program*

*Works of indigo-dyeing and Western style were also exhibited*

*I found this Wagtail around the bridge below*
After my (sorry for early posting) new post about my husband's band, I'll be away from pc (4th ~ 9th).  It's been hectic weeks and  busy, but I'll try hard to visit you till then.
My newest post after 'Husband's Band' (already posted) , will be in 2 weeks.
              SO SORRY FOR MY ABSENCE!

  5. Hello Dear Miyako, your post is full of the most beautiful displays. Thank you for all the photos... we can take so much in by seeing them all. I would find it hard to choose if I had to confine the photos to only one or two! So they are very much appreciated.

My favourite is the "Playing with Sea Shells"... oh but every display is magnificent. Such details in their costumes and beautiful clothing.

I am amazed at how the cocoon filaments are used! Incredible :D)

The floral arrangements are gorgeous too!

Pretty Wagtail from under the bridge - you have a great eye for finding the birds.

I hope you have a great week and that all is well and happy with you both. Cheers now 💖

Interviewed by the news, so it must be an important event:)
But I also like the rustic bridge at the end! It looks like the one I pass, every week.

  9. Hello Mikako! I really enjoyed seeing all the beautiful items that people made. I have never seen anything make of cocoon, but it makes sense as those fibers have to be really strong. Just beautiful workmanship and your cute bird too. ..Michelle
