Fake Cake Exhibition (part 1) ;

     I've heard about the 'Fake Cake Exhibition' through local TV news.
It was held at my late parents' birth-city an hour drive from my house. Don't you think this topic is really timely for coming Valentine's day:-)  These works were made by material called 'Modeling Paste' (Thick Acrylic Gel blended with Marble Dust).
I took many pictures, so please let me show you the rest of them on 14th; some of them are feminine type works .
At the entrance, gate to the sweet world;
These works impressed me the most; to my friends in foreign countries ♡♡♡

Table made with fake sweets;
*Cute and Lovely Works*  And many critters even though they were fake cakes p:-)

For 'Good Fences':   In front of the hall this exhibition was held, this sculpture was placed as if it is a gate

For 'Saturday Critters':    Before enjoying the exhibition, we had lunch at my cousin's restaurant. Before leaving there, I found this sparrow looking at me on the tree in the parking lot. Seemed a bit tired and cold, might have been asking me help.

(I wish you'll enjoy part 2 of my next post)

Thank you very much for your sweet visit, I'll see you soon;

These fake cakes are beautiful, I could just make out New Zealand to the right of Australia.
And that cold sparrow with his feathers all fluffed up is lovely.

Oh my goodness, these fake cakes are marvelous! When I saw the title, I thought it was exhibition for fake food that is displayed at restaurant. But this is so much more artistic! The critters are very pretty. Love all of them :-)

The sparrow does look a bit cold. I hope spring will arrive soon :-) Have a lovely day, Miyako san!

The cakes are such elaborate works of art. Even though they're fake, they made me hungry for real cake. What a sweet little sparrow in the tree.

Sweet bird shots! And what a shame those cakes aren't edible.

I'm glad these cakes are fake because they are just too awesome to ever cut into them to eat! Thanks for sharing! Love the sweet little bird, too.

Those are amazing -- almost like sculptures! And it is a good thing they AREfake because I can't imagine anyone wanting to make the first slice and ruin their beauty. Wow, what talent those decorators have.

And you, my friend, have a great deal of talent as a photographer. Thank you for sharing it.

(I used to feel sorry for the birds in wintertime (when we lived in Oregon) but that sparrow looks healthy enough ... he must be finding enough to eat.

The cakes are so pretty and look like they would be delicious to eat, don't they? They will last longer made of paste, though.
Beautiful photos of the birds. Have a wonderful week.
