*Soba-noodle making experience*
About a week ago, 3 young lady ex-colleagues of my husband had Soba-making experience. At first, he showed them all the process from the beginning. He wasn't sure how they could handle this Making Soba, "蕎麦打ち・soba-uchi". I was happy to see them having nice time of first noodle making experiencing .
After sifting the flour, they thank for "Blessing of Nature" and "Farmer's Efforts"
* Very short videos of Two Processes they did*
We had a nice Soba lunch together.
And they prepared a Birthday Cake as two of them were expecting soon♬
A few days later, we went to hear Jazz concert. We had enjoyed this Saxophone player's concert several times before; he had joint concert with other 3 musicians.
*Herons I found recently*
Thank you very much for stopping by ;
I always appreciate your sweet comments;

What a fun day you had with these ladies making soba! That cutting process in the second video must require lot of patience. But must be worth all the work :-) Those dishes look so yummy!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the video at the jazz concert. It’s really nice you get to hear it live :-) I’ve been to places with live jazz performance a few times but not recently. Herons are adorable! Have a wonderful new week, Miyako san xo
Miyako - how wonderful for your husband to share his soba expertise with the three young ladies - and two expecting - how exciting that is! I love the heron shots - so regal they are. Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday and have a wonderful week ahead!
ReplyDeleteAh soba - my daughter who tries all kinds of foods, introduced us to the soba noodle - delicious! Love the images of the musicians - out of this world! - can almost hear them play! Great images of the heron:) All in all such an interesting post, Miyako!
ReplyDeleteIt seems the girls had fun making soba noodles! And for sure cutting needs concentration :) I love your photos of these performing guys - full of classical old jazz atmosphere. Have a nice week Miyako my friend!

I'm a great Jazz Fan, too... Happy MosaicMonday
ReplyDeleteI love and appreciate how the Japanese hold on to the traditions and passes them to the next generation.
ReplyDeleteWorth a Thousand Words
How generous of your husband to share his skills of soba making. The meal looks delicious that you shared afterwards.
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to see that the younger ones want to learn the 'old' way of doing things and for your Hubby to take the time to teach them.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he has such fun in the band, too.
