*Sparrows were enjoying
Lunch*
In the middle of this month, I found lots of sparrows having lunch in the rice paddy. The scene almost made me feel worried about the crops :-)
Thanks to blogging, I had refreshing feeling even under the hot weather.

Hearing our car, the ones inside the paddy suddenly flew away♪ |
On a different rainy day, they were having shower p:-) |
*Unidentified Flower *
Last week, this white flower (my first flower) was blooming sticking out from the fence. I thought the shape of the flower looked a little like Spider Lily which we call "higan-bana, Equinox flower". They bloom around equinoctial week. But I couldn't identify the name.
Still having trouble with a background issue, 'especially in preview'. Too wide to see the width, using my old test page. So sorry that I haven't visited you. Beside the Soba-guests, I tidied my many old clothes I haven't thrown (could't throw) away for many decades (*^.^*) Have a wonderful new week and Thank you very much for your sweet comments.

Such great photos of sparrows having lunch! Looks like they were enjoying the buffet :-) And wow, there are so many of them dining! I can understand that you got little worried about crops haha :-) I hope they'll leave some for humans! Taking bath must be refreshing in the hot weather :-)
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what's the name for this flower, but it sure is very pretty! I hope someone here can identify. Sounds like you've been very busy. Take good care of yourself, Miyako san. Have a great new week!
Wonderful photos Miyako! Love that you captured them two different times, and in such numbers. Such a lovely orchid also.

ReplyDeleteSo many sparrows in that rice paddy, how sweet they looked whilst taking a bath in a rain puddle though.

The sparrows were enjoying the feast but I doubt the farmer would have been pleased. Beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteam glad I saw your very artsy capture of flowers sticking their head through the send (floral bliss) - beautiful! A Delightful post how all the birds flew away.

ReplyDeleteOur adopted daughter from China, her birth name was sparrow. beautiful bird. Have a lovely week!
ReplyDeleteWow, I've never seen so many sparrows. I like how you've taken photos and posted photos within photos. Very interesting.
ReplyDeleteDearest Miyako,
ReplyDeleteWell, those sparrows are indeed a nuisance for the farmer that tries to harvest rice! They're in huge volumes...
As for your flower, it is a pity that you didn't show the leaves clearly and is it a vine, growing up the fence? If so, it looks very much like this 5-petaled Clematis vitalba L.

Hoping this is helpful!
Sending you hugs,

How fun to watch the sparrows having lunch. I hope they left plenty of rice for others. The "spidery" looking plant is very pretty. Have a wonderful week.

ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of sparrows in a small area! It's fun to watch them in a puddle. I like the fring-y flower--how unique. Beautiful collages. Do you create those?
ReplyDeleteHello Miyako! We have house sparrows here in the US that were brought from England many years ago. They tend to travel in flocks and are found everywhere here. They seem to be able to find food even in the city. Here they can use my bird feeders...I think the blog pagination looks good for my use...Michelle
ReplyDelete...and that is a LOT of sparrows. Wow. The numbers make me speechless.
