Another Exhibition I've seen which features the "Collaboration of Wood and Ink". Literal translation from the Japanese might be "Meeting of wood and ink". I wasn't sure which word will be appropriate, "encounter. union. collaboration. meeting" (^^;)
The left side work means "After night comes the day"
*I thought the color of swallow I found recently matches with ink:-) *
*Scenes around the Rice Paddy *
These are the pictures I took around the rice paddy few days ago. These Domestic Ducks help farmers with eating weeds in the rice paddy. This "Rice-Duck Farming. 合鴨農法" can be called "Earth-Friendly".
Gray Starling and fluffy white flower I found around the paddy. |
My first finding of Skylark and flowers. |
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comments.
Wishing you a wonderful new week; I'll start visiting you from tomorrow.

Your posts are always visually so beautiful dear Miyako. I like very much the Japanese way how ink meets wood. The graphics are so elegant and simple. Is that tiny white flower an ordinary clover? Looks pretty, they grow here in Finland too. Wishing you a great new week to come.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great exhibition! I like the translation "meeting of wood and ink." They make beautiful art together :-) The wooden apples and chickens are very cute!
ReplyDeleteThose fluffy white flowers are very familiar to me. I don't know the name but I always found them alongside the road I walked for school. Rice-duck farming sounds great way to keep weeds out. Makes both ducks and humans happy :-) Lovely photos!
Happy June, Miyako san. Have a great new week!
Dearest Miyako,
ReplyDeleteWhen you have time and in all quietness, you really can appreciate such art work.
Love you photos.
Sending you hugs,
Mariette
I always enjoy learning about your way of life through your very interesting posts, Orchid. The ducks working in the paddy fields to help the farmer is a great idea!

ReplyDeleteYour posts are always interesting and beautiful! The wood and ink exhibition looks wonderful. Love seeing the birds - swallow and the working, weeding ducks in the rice paddy. Happy Monday!

I love that the domestic ducks help the rice farmers with the weeding. We need more of these innovative and simple solutions for our environment. Have a wonderful week!
