*Japanese Shiba-inu (柴犬)*
This moth (maybe) was on bonnet of our car; Funny place to stay :-)
This Girl called 'Ku-chan' is my neighbor's dog; I spotted her while having a walk with mom. Shiba-inu is the small dog breed (38〜41cm). One of the seven Japanese species specified for the natural monument. Their characters are 'independent and very clean' 'good watch dog' 'graceful agile', and 'high energy'. I like their dignified look♪ Link pages about this dog; characters and pictures
I wish I could have a pet dog if 'you know who' would allow me p:-)
*Other two Critters*
- This wild dove was strolling around outside of my house. Happy to find the different one which I see regularly in the city park.
Thanks to our friend ifthethunderdontgetya™³²®© he kindly ID'ed it's Small Copper, Lycaena phlaeas. It is one of the small copper butterflies ♪

Hello dear Miyako, The dog is so cute. I'd love to have a dog as well, but my husband is scared of them. We had dogs when I was little and lots of other animals, but he never had any. Have a wonderful weekend!

ReplyDeleteHi dear Miyako! Intelligent looking dog! We had a German Shepherd (a big one, a boy)and he was lovely but died age 9 years of cancer of the spleen, oh it was so sad. We have not got another in two years, the endings are hard to bear..maybe some time.
ReplyDeleteThe dove is so beautiful with her pretty markings. Such a gentle creature, and the moth too.
You are an observant nature lover, my friend.
And a fun lady...I wish we could go for a walk together.
Thank you for your kind comments over at my blog ...HUGS ACROSS OCEANS!!

Hi, dear Orchid...what a beautiful dog your neighbor has...very pretty dog.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a dog of my own but I get to share with grandgirl's dogs and I've really grown to love them both.
I love your pretty header....:) xoxo
Greetings, dear Miyako. That is such a handsome dog, so trim and neat, it reminds me somewhat of a husky dog. It looks very well-behaved, too. The dove looks a lot like the dove on my blog this week, but the feathers on the wings are different. They are such sweet birds, and I love their cooing sounds. Hugs from the PNW!
ReplyDeleteHello Miyako. Your neighbor's dog is really cute. We were lucky to adopt a very sweet dog from the county shelter. I love her so much. The dove and butterfly you have captured are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHi Orchid, your neighbor's dog is very cute!
ReplyDeleteI tried looking up your butterfly. I think it may be a Small Copper, Lycaena phlaeas. They are in Europe, North America, and Asia too.

Awwwwww Ku-chan is adorable! She has such a pretty orange and white fur :-) When I was small, I had shiba-inu. I always loved how the tail was curled up! Your Tony was sunshine for sure....every and each of fur babies in my life has been very special, too!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of dove and moth! Happy weekend, Miyako san!
Dearest Miyako,
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a very hyper and intelligent little dog.
Sure, you never will forget your Tony... Wish you could have again a pet.
Hugs to you sweet friend.

That dove is absolutely gorgeous!! I love the feather markings/colors!! And your neighbor's dog is very handsome...like a small red husky. I bet they DO make a good watch dog.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your post link today at I'd Rather B Birdin'!!
Lovely photos! Our Riku-dog would love to meet that dog:) He likes to play with other dogs:)
ReplyDeleteA wonderful little dog! The "high energy" would put me off, though...I want a dog that is calm at this stage in my life. :-) Lovely critter photos!
ReplyDeleteShe does look dignified -- and has the look of a large dog somehow. I was surprised that the breed is small! A beautiful dove and butterfly. (It is so good the way bloggers help each other out with IDs! I love that.)
ReplyDeleteKu-chan is so so cute! Our friends have a white shiba inu named Hiro :)
