These pictures were taken late last month at my friend's yard. A swallowtail butterfly was flying over the flowers of Tulip and Valerian. This was the only butterfly I could take a picture this spring. Sort of belated posting, but happy with this chance :-)
*First Chance to see the 'Radio Control Airplane' flying*
On our way to the Ejio Park (previous post) to see the roses, "to my husband's joy" he spotted 'Radio Control Airplane' was flying. We drove up the
little hillside to see it.
So surprised that the elderly couple was my husband's acquaintances. Even the man came toward us calling our family name p:-) He kindly restarted flying his yellow plane for us. Sure was heartwarming seeing the couple enjoying the same hobby♡♡♡

After landing and I could see how precious the plane is for him♪

It is nice to see a couple enjoying the same thing! We had a friend who flew those radio-controlled planes, but his wife was not impressed at all. I think they are fun to watch. But would rather find birds and flowers.
ReplyDeleteAnd your flowers are just beautiful. I'm not good with names of them either.
I forgot to say I love the butterfly. I have gone 'hunting' for them several mornings but cannot get any good pictures. You certainly did!!
ReplyDeleteI love the butterfly!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful butterfly photos!
ReplyDeleteHello Miyako, I am just stopping back to say thank you for linking up your pretty butterflies and post. Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteFantastic butterflies.
ReplyDeleteMy gentleman friend used to fly remote planes. I have never gotten to see them but we enjoy watching them on Youtube. Looks like a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous shots of the beautiful swallowtail, dearest Miyako! It seems more like lace than the Tiger Swallowtails that visit my garden, with all the white and black scallops on its wings. My Valerian is just starting to bloom, but it is the white kind that is medicinal so not as pretty as the pink ones. How fun to run into the couple that you knew flying the airplane! Hugs from the PNW!
ReplyDeleteWonderful butterfly photos and I love your gorgeous flowers too! Yes, how neat the couple are having a lovely outing together, enjoying flying the plane. Neat that you happened upon someone you knew! :-) Have a wonderful weekend!

Beautiful shots of the butterfly and the lovely flowers. My husband once worked for a company that builds all the components of those planes. He built the electronics.

ReplyDeleteIt's very interesting that your swallowtail butterfly has the exact same shape as ours in Virginia, but the pattern is very different. I love borage. It's such a sweet plant.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful butterfly and flower photos. Butterflies are wonderful, delicate creatures.
ReplyDeleteModel airplanes is a hobby that my husband enjoyed for quite a few years. It was fun to go out with him to fly it. Glad to see your husband's friends having fun together.
Hello Miyako from a sunny New York state. What a wonderful catch. We have swallowtail butterflies here, but all are difficult to photograph. These are lovely photos to go with your flowers. How nice for the couple to have a hobby together. It looks like fun to fly that plane...Michelle
