Our Water Resource and Airplane;

*Dam of my Area*
     I visited our important water resource 'dam' for the first time.
Our city's river has been used widely as the source of cultivated areas. It had experienced flooding and shortage of water.  Construction work of this dam  'From 1992 To 2009'.  It doesn't look so old, I think :-)  About 2 weeks ago with dull weather.
Name of the dam;
Symbol name of the dam 'Future Lake' ;

Different angle from the dam's pathway of the first two picture.
Panoramic view from the road side.

*Airplane from our city's airport*
Yesterday, we've been to our city's airport to buy tickets (discount for early booking) for my husband's late aunt's one year memorial service on Nov. It happened that an airplane was just taking off to Tokyo. I could take some photos for the SkywatchFriday meme. It was pity I couldn't have good shots of take-off and also was overcast sky(^^;)

Thank you very much for stopping by;

 Linking this post to; "Good Fences",  SkywatchFriday,

      ps> I've had trouble with Picasa...  Oh it took me a couple of days to figure out, whew.

  3. A dam that contains your water certainly qualifies as a Good Fence. Beautiful stonework around it. Thank you for interpreting its name.

  5. The city has done a great job of making the dam part of the beauty of the area, I think. And I love to watch the planes coming and going. They are so powerful and fascinating. Hugs from Texas!

  6. Hello Miyako!:) It really doesn't look that old, you're right, but it's an attractive place, and I like the walkway, with the stones bordering the sides.Great shots from every angle, and also of the planes.

  10. There is a place where I live where you can see the planes take off and land. They fly above you and it's fun to go and just watch and take pictures :)

  15. Lovely dam. Ours are not usually so well 'dressed'. The clouds add interest in your airport photos.

  16. Our dam (reservoir) is well visited because we can picnic and boatride and fish, but nothing as pretty as yours.

  17. I'm having trouble with Picassa lately too -- we switched to an Apple Computer and it isn't quite the same on it. Always something new to learn.

    But I couldn't tell you were having problems -- your pictures are perfect.

    It is always interesting to tour the things that make our city work. We did that in Florida last spring and really enjoyed learning about water and power and what makes Fort Myers run!

    And the beautiful blue and white plane is perfect agains the pale sky! Lovely pictures. (We will be thinking about booking an early flight to Florida before too long; you do save money by planning ahead!)

  21. Dearest Miyako,
    Especially the wording is so well chosen; future lake. Yes, conserving water for agricultural purposes means life for all!
    Looks very neat and great photos from your airplane.
    Hugs,

  22. The city did a great job in constructing the dam. It looks like a nice walkway. I used ANA this summer when I went to visit my parents in Vietnam. I had a great experience. The flight was very comfortable and the service was fantastic.
