As I posted early this month here, tonight we could see "harvest moon" (no rabbit there, haha). Yes, and today is my birthday. I asked my husband to take photos of the moon as birthday present. Accepting my request, he bought a tripod for our camera this 13th. I set the zoom and exposure as I learned from camera maker through phone and he took pictures for me from 14th till tonight. Thank you so much for your effort♡♡♡
Also how lucky that we've had fine days!

crater didn't show in the picture as clearly as we had until last night (^^;) |
With picture book, my folktale lover mother told me about the story of
かぐや姫 "Princess Kaguya or The Moon Princess" when little.

ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Miyako. What a wonderful way to commemorate your birthday this year. We went out looking at the moon on the evening of the 19th as well. It had an extremely large ring around it which is why it caught our attention. Great photo's of the moon.

hugs to you from Southern California!!
Dearest Ann,
ReplyDeleteThank you SO much for your sweet comment and reading the story, my friend. I DO hope your precious granddaughter will enjoy the story♡♡♡ Haha, I prefer the reason her coming earth from moon would be for her safety during a celestial war to the other p;)
Well, as for my name. Tsuki-no-Miyako ("the Capital of the Moon") caused the confusion because of the difference of the languages.
Tsuki→moon Miyako→Capital So the 2 words got reversed when translated from Japanese to English. My name means Capital city in Japanese. My father once told me that he wished me prosperity of my life.
Again thank you so much for your lovely comment♬♬♬
Love and hugs to you from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
