Two kinds of Workers

Fought in my garden and Maintenance of the house
Around the Golden Week, I had kind of no time to spare!
We needed to visit my husband's hospitalized uncle to a bit away from our city. My father got out of shape. Haha, not so much of a enjoyable week.
Also, I got 2 kinds of workers visited to my house. One was a painter and the other was a gardener. Our tin roof needed painting; I forgot when was the last time.  One of my husband's old friends is a painter and we owe him a lot maintaining wooden parts of our house as well. The gardener is my late brother's friend and we ask him prune our tiny garden annually in spring. He said our small pine tree is not in a good condition. We used to have one more big pine tree but it's dead because of weevil damage. Well, it sure is hard to keep pine trees in good shape. I was busy cleaning up the mess and did my best to pick all the weed out.  How come they are SO vigorous, I'm certain that I share the same feeling with my friends who have wonderful spacious garden.
Feel like they are my life long enemy ^^;)

These pictures were taken from inside of my house's window,

The house seen from behind is not our house,

  1. Hi Orchid, I know what you mean about weeds, they are too strong! Sometimes I can't even pull them out!! Your garden looks lovely and what a nice house you have. Thanks for your nice comments on my blog. I love when you visit me. xo,

  2. Don't you just hate those weeds and they always grow better then anything else!
Your house is lovely and so is the garden.

  3. Dearest Orchid,

You are so right about the weeds; they take over and ALWAYS are healthy and strong! We have to fight for keeping our favorite and beautiful hybrids alive but weeds survive always.
Your garden looks just great; typical for Japan and very much like many Dutch gardens too. Those two countries have so much in common when comparing gardens... Also the size is equal. Not so here in the US where at times it is too much to handle! We cannot do the weeding to perfection, the way we used to manage. But still we enjoy it.
Your neighbor's home looks fine too.
    Thanks for your mail!

    Lots of love,

    Mariette

  7. There you are, sweetie. Wondered where you've been since not hearing from you. Love gardening. I just planted 1,065 plants this past 2 weeks in our gardens. Now to hope some of the seeds I planted are not God's beautiful weeds ... chuckle.

    Happy PS weekend ~
