Around 60 years old Festival "アラ還フェスティバル”;

* Arakan Festival *
My husband's band participated another music festival.  The title is made by shortning two words of "Around and Kanreki 還暦".  In the first music there are some solo parts of him. The tile of the music is "La Macarena" also called "mabo of bullfighter".

*Other Participants *

When we arrived at the parking lot, we found this Black Kite perching on a power pole. One of our guests said that he /she looked a little scary. Although looking fearless or intrepid, attractive and lovely for me p:-)

*Orchid flower by the window*
I bought this orchid nearly 2 years ago, with my surprise we could see the flowers this year♪ I was happy seeing the Pictures taken with Different Shades (^.^
After my late parents' old house was sold,  we are having tight schedule. My husband wished to check about the tax thing we will have to deal with; went to municipal office a couple of times. And our mobile phones broke down.  Struggle for 2 days with it to fix for my use. Have a wonderful coming new week.  Visiting You Soon.

  2. Dear Miyako,
    your husband & his band have a great sound, the festival sounds like a fab event.
    The Black Kite captures are very interesting, she does look fierce though.
    I have two orchid plants just like yours, they have both flowered this past winter and one of them is getting ready to flower again which is a big thrill for me as I think they are gorgeous.
    Happy Mosaic Monday

  9. You know I love seeing raptors (hawks, eagles, kites) and I agree with your description! But I too know several people who are afraid of them, so I am not surprised to hear the comment from your friend.

    Your husband's band sounds great and they all look as if they are having a wonderful time playing together.

    Hope you got your phone and internet problems straightened out. I j hate when things like that happen....

  12. Dearest Miyako,
    What a surprise to hear your husband's band play La Macarena! They did so well.
    Please do pay them a compliment.
    Oh yes, it takes about a year I guess before life will be like normal routine... tax preparation we too have to finish next week after I've cooked the dinner for 12 of Pieter's Monday Night club. That is on the 27th, we will be hosting. Shopping for ingredients and tidying the house etc. Will be happy when it is Tuesday.
    We had one performance with our choir and now we rehearse hard for the Revue at the Theatre, with steps + singing.
    But that makes life interesting and not boring.
    Love all of your photos, great kite shots.
    Yesterday husband Pieter did bring home two new orchids. All previous ones died last year and I want some back.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  17. Hello Miyako!:) Wonderful music on the video, I enjoyed listening to your husbands band. Since I have been absent from blogging for a few months I didn't know you had sold your parents house. I fully understand all the legalities this entails, but am happy for you that the sale took place.:)

    Great shots of the eagle, a magnificent bird of prey, and although not harmful to humans those eyes do look fierce. Last week a friend of mine gave me a lovely white orchid,...would you please share the secret of how you manage to keep them for so long without them dying. I love their elegance and beauty, and especially love the white ones, but have not been successful in caring for them.:( I enjoyed seeing all your photos, and hope your mobile can be repaired.
    Until next time,.. Take care my friend.
