My husband and I each still have one. I never understood how to work mine. Every once in a while I could get a good photo by accident. :) Love your trip down memory lane with the old cameras. I tried using a film cam...Wonderful older cameras! I tried using a film camera (Nikon FM-2) last year when my husband was gone many months, and had our small digital with him. I was so frustrated by the horrible results I got, plus the cost of the film for almost NO decent photos, plus I loaded it wrong TWICE! I was so happy when he brought the little one back with him, but that wasn't good enough--had to go buy a new digital that would be better than the little one. I was so tired of all the issues! :-)I am still not 100% happy. Our new camera doesn't seem to take really close macro shots. Most of my attempts are blurry. But, it does GREAT telephoto shots! They look so beauti...I love these old film cameras. They look so beautiful! Especially the accordion type lens, it's very neat. And they must carry such precious memories of your father.
