Dusky Thrush "ツグミ, tugumi"

Today, I wish you to enjoy the pictures of one of the winter bird from western Japan.  I spotted them on the tree in front of my house after new year.  Oh, how didn't I pay attention or notice this beautiful migrating bird until this year:-)

Different day under different weather with different shade of color.
Looked cold  and casting cautious eyes towards me.

I'm not sure but the tree may be Japanese wax tree; they were eating its fruit.

They were all gone to another place for food now.  They provided me fun time of taking pictures; trying hard not to scare them and fly off from me :-)

  16. Miyako, your photos are so wonderful. It's a beautiful bird.

And I know exactly what you mean about how blogging (and just having a digital camera) makes you notice things you never looked at before). I have the exact same experience, but I am glad you did't have to wait until you are as old as I am to get to this point!!
