Green Day (Japanese green tea-set)

I have Japanese tea set with green color.  I don't think it is common color used for tea set.  Doesn't this set have refreshing summery atmosphere

normally, one tea pot and five cups are one set

The sweets you see is Yokan; it is a thick jellied dessert made of red bean paste, agar, and sugar.   You might notice that it is flavoured and
coloured by using green tea powder.

I have posted about variety of Japanese tea set etc. here before.
They're not green but I hope you will have fun taking a peek of the page, haha.

i very much like the shape of your teapot - a true 'pot' handle and spout faced forward for pouring. :)

I love the green color and the teapot is very interesting. I went back and looked at the other teacups. Very lovely! I hope you have a lovely Friday, Miyako. Hugs.

Dearest Miyako san,

Lovely post! Hah, finally I find some common ground as I am making dessert from red beans too. I put it in the blender with agave nectar, not sugar for a healthy dessert. Everybody loves it. My Vietnamese friend once introduced us to red bean dessert; sweet but oh so good! Now I no longer can have that sweet.
Love the Japanese teapots with their different spout.
I do remember very well in Japan that they did wisk the green tea with that wooden (bamboo?) whisk. I drank it, not too strong for me.
Love your collection of teapots!
Hugs and love from the USA, as always,
Mariette

Grüner Tee passt immer, und ein Tässchen davon will ich gerne probieren. Ich mag Tee sehr gerne, doch bevorzuge ich den schwarzen...:-)

Lieben Gruß

This is a lovely tea set - I really love your teapot :)
I inherited a green dinner set from my mother in law. I really love it but it is too good to use, so I keep it in a display case. Lovely to look at!!!

Dear Miyako

I love green so I think this tea set is beautiful. I went to a Japanese supermarket in London last week and saw the jellies, perhaps I should have bought one!

Miyako I just love your tea pot. I've never seen one shaped that way. How clever is that. I bet the shape makes it easier to pour your tea. Have a nice weekend!

My dear Miyako, my apologies for being a little late! Life just gets in the way sometimes, doesn't it, and that's how it should be really! What a beautiful, delicate looking teaset. I love the colour green and the pretty pattern. How lovely it would be if we could sit down together to share a refreshing cup of tea and have a good chat! Hugs to you from West to East x

Hi Miyako

I am sorry that I have not been around for the last week or so but I have my Mother staying with me and so feel guilty if I don't give her my time and play on the computer.

Hope all is well with you.

I will have so much catching up to do when Mum goes home.
it will take me until Christmas to get through all the posts I have missed!

Have a lovely weekend.
Take care

x
