My Busy Week

Hello, my friends. I haven't posted about a week; it has been a bit hectic days for me. I really am so sorry if I miss visiting you. I thought I would almost wear down, but I am lucky to be able to ride out the tough days.

Firstly, Thank God for my father's physical capacity or my mom and bro hadn't called him yet; after his IV had taken off and came back to his old people's home, he started to walk a little by grabbing my hand since a couple of days agoI feel it is almost miraculous as he hadn't eaten 2 weeks. He’s lost weight a lot and a bit skinny now, though. Thank you very much for your thoughts and prayers.

Secondly, I've made "Japanese meal page" you can visit from my side-bar link. I've pasted former meal pages to it. I've been thinking it is such a pleasure for me if I can introduce my culture through meal as well. I stayed up close to dawn one night to sort out the backgroud and header. You might like to see hubby's amazed face for my sticking to it p;)  I've put my precious awards in my side-bar.

Thirdly, we went to hear "Jazz Live" with dinner last night, which hubby told me to go as it might be a good change of pace for me. The four players of tenor sax, piano, drum and bass were great. I could enjoy the familiar music my hubby plays at home (take five. fly me to the moon. theme music of TV animation "Lupin III")
Oh, it was quite a refreshing time; they are all so talented and entertaining, we could enjoy both soft and upbeat way of playing.  My pictures came out so terrible, the collage is just for proving I actually went there(^^;)   As you may have noticed, our seats were at the corner of the restaurant. However, we sure could have a wonderful two and a half hours which I thought it worth the price, hehe.

  3. I am so glad that your Dad is doing better. You are so clever to figure out how to put the menu page off to the side. I tried and then just got frustrated so gave up! The bamboo shoots look good.

  4. First of all my sweet friend, your blog is looking SO pretty at the moment. I can see all the hard work that you have put into it, and now you have introduced another page! We will all be coming to you for advice soon! As you say, it really is a little miracle that your dear dad managed to walk a few steps like that, because he must be very weak still. I pray that he will continue to improve my friend. That sounds like a wonderful outing, going out and listening to the jazz. Your hubby was right to make sure that you had a little break like that, especially with you being so busy and all the worry over your dad. I love "Fly Me To The Moon"!! and your little collage is delightful. It was lovely to see you here today. Take care. Sending love & hugs your way x

  8. Hi my friend - sounds like you've had a busy but productive week. I'm so happy to hear that your father is improving!

It takes a lot of time getting a blog organized, doesn't it? I'll be up way past bedtime some nights tweaking my blog and then can't believe where the time has gone once I'm finished.

Love having the meals where we can easily find them.

    Have a wonderful week Miyako!

  10. Dear Miyako,
I'm so happy to hear that your father is back home and doing so much better. Hopefully his health will continue to improve and his appetite will return and he can put back some of the weight he lost.
You needed to take a break from the stress and a relaxing evening spent listening to good music with your dear hubby seems like it was the perfect thing to help renew your spirit.
Take care of yourself and don't spend too many nights working on your blog until dawn.
    Love you always my friend,
    Maddy

I love your Japanese meal page! You make a very lovely page and it's a wonderful idea to introduce culture through meal. I love eating and I think meals are very fun way to learn different culture.
And jazz live sounds fun! Glad you enjoyed the night out. I like listening to jazz, too, especially smooth jazz. Enjoy Golden Week, Miyako san! No plan is good 'cause then there is no need to hassle :-) I hope you have a very relaxing week!

  14. Sweet Miyako, I am so happy to hear of your amazing father. He has such strength and will. I know this must have exhausted you both physically and emotionally.

I love all of your separate pages and am planning to make my own (when I figure out how. hahaha) I'd like to put one for blog parties and a few other things. Thank you for putting one up of your foods as well. I love them!

What a delightful show you attended. I always enjoy live music, a good meal and nice company. It all makes for a spectacular time.

As you can see, I am running behind with my comments again. I just cannot seem to keep current with my lovely friends but I try. Always know I will get here eventually. Hugs and love to you. Mina
