Tokyo Sky Tree

The Tallest Self-Supporting Tower in the world;
Grand-Opening of the Tokyo Sky Tree will be on May 22, 2012. And Starting from today 3/22, we can purchase tickets to the observatory privately to the specified date and time through drawing. (haha, rough information)
It it a very tall (approximately 634 meters which is 2,080 feet) telecommunications tower; broadcasting, restaurant, and observatory; the tallest tower in the world and it will be lit by LED lighting and look like a mix between the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Space Needle in Washington state, haha except the surprising height. To tell the truth, I haven't even been to Tokyo Tower and I wish I will be able to have a chance to visit them in Tokyo someday.
This site has detailed information of the tower itself.  Whew, I wonder how the view would be like from the observatory with that height♪♪♪

  3. Oh my goodness- what a feat of engineering that must be! It is amazing!

    I don't think I could ever go to the top of it because of my great dislike of heights, but it is mind boggling to look at!

    Thank you for sharing it with us, sweet friend Miyako! I hope your day is uncommonly good!

  4. Hi dear Miyako. My oh my, that tower is quite a feat of engineering, isn't it?! I don't like heights either, but I'm sure it will look stunning, especially when lit up at night. You must try to go and see it! Hugs.

  5. Dearest Miyako,

    Wow, I have been to the Tokyo tower but this is something else! What an enormous height. When we were in the Tokyo tower the weather was not really bright so photos are a bit hazy. But the same will be true for this tower; the weather will be the limiting factor.
    Love to you and yes, I HOPE you once get to go there too.

    I would not go since I'm terrified of high places. But it's very interesting!
