Big Earthquke Alarm & Giving up one soft program

In Japan, news programs have been picking up this prediction
Experts at Tokyo University estimated that Tokyo had 70% chance of powerful earthquake within four years.  link is here   We had tremendous damage just last year!!!   Research institute at Tokyo University's prediction of huge one may hit in  the capital city really scares us. We had "Great Hanshin earthquake" in1995 and "The Great Kantō earthquake" in1923 left a lot more than 100thousand casualties. I think "enough is enough". (hope that it is a proper phrase here.)

Photoshop Elements
The other day, I downloaded free trial of it and faced with it really eagerly last couple of days. I wished to use it for combining pictures and making transparent images. I bought a book but not much help for me. Well, way over my capacity. Oh, I should have given up earlier(^_^;)  I wasted too much time and seeing me irritated and starting to get tired, hubby was surprised with my persistence and said "Oh, you won't give up!".
Finally, I gave up yesterday.  And better visiting you, my friends...

  1. Oh, dear friend Miyako- I pray that no earthquake shall hit Japan. That is too much to comprehend, after what has already happened.

You are so talented with your photo creating and editing- I wish I could do that! Have a wonderful day, friend!

  2. Dear Miyako,
I pray you do not have to experience another devasting earth quake. That would be too much to bear!

Your work is lovely and I, too, am learning PhotoShop Elements.
So nice to have found you and I just became a new follower.
    Blessings to you,

  3. I hope they are wrong, Miyako, and yes, the phrase "enough is enough" works here. I found Photoshop to be hard, and I am not as good a student as when I was young! Oh well, we do the best we can. xo

  5. Hi Orchid. I really hope there is no earthquake. At least there's a 30% chance it won't happen. And anything is better than 0%. I'm learning Photoshop, and it is hard, but I'm determined to get the hang of it. If you end up going back to it, start with a small project or just play around with it. Anyway, have a nice day!

  6. Oh honey, I certainly hope that you do not have to face another disaster like that! Your country will be in my heart with hopes of good fortune.

I downloaded a free trial of a modern photo program myself and ended up so frustrated I deleted it. ;-) Hugs to you!

  7. It seems that there are so many more powerful earthquakes happening all over the world lately. It's scary but you have no control really, so it's best not to dwell on it except to have an emergency plan in case. I hope you're country is safe for a long long time. Hugs!

  9. I have had the same problems trying to learn new programs! It is nice your husband admires your persistence. I pray there will be no earthquakes in Japan for a long, long time. I'm so sorry you and all Japan must live with this threat hanging over your beautiful country! I will pray for you and for Japan, dear Orchid. Much love.

  10. Hi dear friend Miyako. Oh my goodness, I do hope that you don't have any more earthquakes over there. Your poor country suffered quite enough last year, and I still remember it well. How lovely that your hubby admired your persistence. Well, at least you gave it a good go and, yes, we do say "enough is enough"!! Hugs to you.

  12. Oh I hope you don't suffer from another earthquake - enough is enough.
Photoshop is very confusing - I find it quite frustrating.

  13. Thank you very much every one for your concern! I really appreciate your kind words.

    To Belle and Thisisme,

My husband didn't like my not giving the soft up and engaging with it so long and wearing out myself. I checked Japanese "akireru" and found the word "astound". Haha, he didn't admire me. And I think I should check the words like "stunned, appalled, startled" to know how these words are used.
    Sometimes, dictionary has the wrong answer ^^;

i always say a prayer to keep you safe!
Photoshop.....goodness, I had it for at least 3 years and never could figure it out. Then, I got an "e-class" from Moonlight Journey. I'm still learning. It's great fun..but i had to stop worrying that I'd "loose" an image before I could enjoy it!
    xo
