Pink Clothes and my age☆

For the Pink Saturday, I will post four of my summer clothes today.  Do you think they are too girlish for a woman in her mid-fifties? Sometimes, I feel I might as well choose clothes appropriately for my age. However chic, senior-looking fashion won't seem to suits me, haha.  Like most of fellow women, I love browsing clothing stores and time flies so fast there.
Well, I got TOO MANY clothes piled up in my bed room, which I can't dare to throw away. For the other items I don't hold this kind of feeling and good at tidy things up. Of course many of them got out of fashion now. I should spare some time to sort them out and get up courage to make more space for our bed room. It seems tunic-style is in fashion in Japan right now.

Sorry, I really am a poor photographer, they got bluish outcome

  2. The styles now are not for the older generation. I have a hard time finding something I really like. You should wear whatever you feel good in. Age is just a number.

  3. Absolutely not...I love them. I am 72 and wear pink all the time. I must admit I had a little trouble getting used to the style of the blouses because they reminded me of my old maternity tops, but I soon got over that sill notion. I think your choices are precious. HPS-genie

  4. I use Picnik. Just google it and you will find the site. There are all kinds of free mosaics there, but I bought the premium package. It was real cheap for a year, and then you get ibunches more. Give it a try. Genie

I think dressing for our age has long past.
Wear what you like and enjoy life.

  7. Definitely not too old for pink. Wear what you like - I'm over 60 and buy from the Junior's or Misses' Department most of the time. The things they make for my age group are frumpy! I never shop from the "Women's" rack. Your clothes are cute!

  8. It is important to enjoy life, Orchid. Wear what makes you happy. Wear clothes that you feel good in. My mother's favorite color was pink and she wore it often until she died at age 84! And I love tunic styles, very comfortable!

  14. Dearest Orchid,

Kindred spirits? I'm five years your senior it looks like and funny enough I did post a photo at the end of my blog where I too wear pink... So what?! Not every day I feel the same and I dress like my mood is. If I'm all bubbly; pink goes! If I feel serious, okay black and on and on. For my size, I could have kept clothes since I was 15 and they would fit me still but at times we must part from things. I used to carry them on my trips to Indonesia or Mexico to give away. I've never trashed anything; for feeling conscious about the environment and other reasons.
Love your first set with the roses as they're my most favorite all time!

    Lots of love,

    Mariette

Funny, I'm a size 4 or 34 European and only at the Japanese Okura hotel in Amsterdam they would have smaller sizes or in Maastricht where more the French influence is... In the US there are lots of Asians so I'm in heaven now with my size; no more problems!

  16. Hi Orchid,
Not sure how I lost your blog, but here I am again. I LOVE LOVE you clothes and being so tiny you can wear just about anything. Such cute clothes these are. I agree, the age of "dressing your age" is past and one should wear what they feel comfortable in. Have fun and enjoy.
