After March 11th,

     Disappointment  and Distrust

In my way more than  half a century's life, I've never had disappointment and distrust towards our Government this much.  I can't help but feel  even anger.  Right now 15:30 Japan time, "nonconfidence motion" was voted down. I don't know why on earth they spend much time on that silly dispute between the ruling parties and the opposition parties.
Aren't we facing the enormous national crisis?

They are neglecting to implement countermeasures which is the very priority.  People are in torment not only Tohoku but we all will be.
God..., more than 100thousand people are at the evacuation center and many industries are affected. People are losing jobs. Not to mention, how can we deal with electrical power resource problem. After nearly 3 months has passed, we are hearing that initial measures were delayed.

As the blue rose has in its floral language, I wish the impossible can be possible and "Recovery and Reconstruction" of Japan will be expedited soon.

  2. So sad, the rest of the world hears about so little of the information AFTER events, it's like after a news story happens an a crisis is covered no one stays to find our what is being done, no one realises that the world is interconnected & if one part is in crisis, turmoil or pain it is not contained it is a far reaching problem for all... I hope you are OK Orchid & things start to turn around & not only your country but the world starts to help all the individuals effected by events!

  4. I was wondering why we don't seem to hear much news these days as to the aftermath....sending prayers your way that reconstruction is going full steam ahead. Sending hugs to you, my friend, xo

  5. Hello, Orchid! Yes, we have heard very little about Japan now that other stories of destruction have taken place. Tornadoes, floods, bin Laden. The media moves on to other things and we never hear about how Japan is coping with the massive job of putting towns and lives back together. You will be in my prayers.

  6. Hallo Orchid. When the terrible earthquake and tsunami hit Japan, all the blogging community were horrified, and we were all sending prayers to all the poor people who were affected, and the Japanese people in general. As the others have said, the world soon forgets and moves on to something else. I do pray that things will improve in your dear country . Sending prayers and loving thoughts from here in England.

  7. Dearest Orchid,

It is said and often politics get in the way of helping the 'people' the ones that suffer, the ones that need support financially and morally. But as long as it does not personally affect our leaders their seems to be little compassion. Yes, indeed they should govern with very strict and disciplined rules as to ALL pull together to make things go upwards again.
Wish you all lots of strength and lots of love,

    Mariette

  10. I am sorry to hear things are so slowly improving. We have not heard much about how things are going in your country lately. I was crying as I watched the series of tragedies unfolding in your country and knowing the loss of life to be very, very high.I pray for your country.
